Waxahachie Creek Hike & Bike Trail

Best All Around

October, 2021 by lonestarkat

Started at Lions Club on a Sunday, no traffic, easy to park! Lots of activity on trail, not for speed biking but still enough room for everyone. I agree with other review about trail markings. I wish all did a better job. The construction was still happening but we had a trail clearly marked to navigate through it. When you get to the cemetery keep going, the trail picks up on the other side. When you're coming from the big city park and you come to the basketball court and parking lot, turn, go over the bridge. New parking lot and pretty sidewalk art trail takes you across the street. Adventurous, a little curvy and lots of beauty!

Glendale Park Trail

Beautiful park with nice wide paths. Connected to Runyon Park Trail for an even longer, more challenging ride/walk. Wonderful bridges over running creek with an occasional waterfall and schools of fish. Some challenging hills and corners with mixed shade and sunshine. Super fun, rewarding bike ride. Don't think we saw the complete trail. Will go back again and explore.

Trinity Skyline Trail

Open sky

January, 2021 by cobbdvm93

Mix of paved and gravel trails available. There is trash around, but take time to see the beauty. Parts seem like open prairie. When you get west of Sylvan, it becomes quiet and you can hear hawks. Watch for ducks, herons, and cranes. Btw, there are feral hogs early dawn and late Eve. You can find their tracks. Great place to hike with no cars.

OneWheel Heaven

So far this place has some of the best trails for OneWheels. Always a great time!

Mesquite Heritage Trail

Wide paved paths great for walking. Decent amount of foot traffic. If you enjoy looking at houses and power lines this trail is for you. Great for beginning EUC and one wheel riders due to the wide paved path and grass on each side.

Trail is not for cycling

June, 2020 by saun1000

Fist time there cycling. I entered at the Getzendaner Park side & the trail was only 1 1/2 mile long. I got to the 77 bridge which is under construction & I didn’t know what to do at that point which was very disappointing because from the reviews I thought it was a 6 mile trail. I will say if I was walking it was a very nice shaded trail. Tons of people out walking.

Waxahachie Creek Hike & Bike Trail

Nice Offroad trail

April, 2020 by tmbiv

Initially just planned on riding the paved trail. I did not realize there was an off-road section. What a great surprise! The trail had a few surprises that I was not able to navigate and had to walk. Maybe when I get more experience I won't have to walk. Even though, the trail is safe and I had a great time.
The only down side is that the paved trail is blocked where it goes under Hwy 77 due to construction, so the path is not contiguous 6 miles.
Still a great ride and very nice place.

Mansfield Road Hike & Bike Trail

Biking Mansfield trail

December, 2019 by jmcfadden69

Extra wide lanes and steep hill on Mansfield Rd. Turn onto Lake Ridge Pwky and the trail continues through a residential area with beautiful scenery and wide bike trails all the way to Hwy 67.

Trinity Skyline Trail

Disappointed

September, 2019 by tbowen2

It's hard to get to, and difficult to figure out. I could not find how to get to the northeastern side of the trail. It seemed a little less safe than the rest of the trails in Dallas.
