The trail is paved and it has gradual uphill and downhill sections. Not too much other traffic on the trail. Lots of street crossings make it hard to keep up momentum at times. Some cars saw me and stopped, but a couple did not see me so make sure to watch out for traffic turning into driveways. Not much for views on the trail. It follows alongside a busy road (the pony express highway). It’s a nice area to bike and I did some biking around the houses in the area. Nice to explore. There is a city park near the trail that has bathrooms and it’s overall very nice with a playground and pickle ball courts .
We rode this trail today from Coalville to Park City and back. It's a nice ride and the noise from i80 was not as bad as we expected.
Nice, wide, quiet trail. Fields and the river running on both sides with mountain backs drop.
Sections closed due to maintainance and water overflow in the under street crossings
Speaking more of the people you’re going to encounter on this trail and getting to this trail esp. from downtown. First and last time for me.
Trail is well paved. Crosses a lot of streets, so not a great flow for riding/blading.
My wife and I made it a trip from South Jordan to Thanksgiving point ate lunch and back. It was wonderful beautiful weather easy ride.
It so fun to walk or bike! We do a few family things including a moon light walk a few days before the the full moon.
Great for walking or bike riding. Every summer I plan a "Moon light walk" with my family a few days before a full moon. Usually on a weekend. It's so much fun!
This is a great ride with beautiful scenery but…the last leg after going through Coalville is a carpet of “goat head puncture weeds” so you had better have very puncture resistant tires on your bike. This trail really needs some love from whoever is charged with caring for it. I have never seen so many puncture weeds on one trail. My friend had to replace both inter tubes after our ride.
Nice long, safe trail. Pavement is good to great the whole way. Criticism that the double gated entries are a pain is valid, but they are combined with traffic control, or at least warning lights at every intersection - makes crossing the many roads very safe.
Not a lot of traffic - I could really cruise on my bike.
Take the train from downtown with your bike to Roy and ride back!
