This trail covers City and wooded areas. Starting in Alpharetta is good. Great boardwalks, shaded scenery. Great Day Ride! Saw some Dear and other wildlife.
Could stand to be more bike and pedestrian friendly in that it really needs some safety barriers between cars traveling on Barrett and the trail users! Also could use lights or reflective strips at a minimum. Needs cleanup too. Could be better! Do not recommend at dusk or later as there is no path visibility
We started at Parker House and took the path to left instead of the one along the river. We were on hybrid bikes and it was too hilly for us - turned around. We drove up to the Monastery which is beautiful . We passed under the covered bridge trail … but did not attempt.
Went out on this trail with my 11-year-old and nine-year-old, who are relatively new to biking any sort of distance. The trail was really nice, scenic, well-maintained, and easy enough for them with some gentle rolling hills. It winds around a golf course for a ways. We ended up doing 6 miles total and it worked well. As of 8/2025, the Atlanta RC club is mat one end is closed, so we had to find an alternate parking spot. Gresham Park is a nice spot to park in.
Beautiful trail, going to do the Ladiga trail next!, warm this time of year, bring enough water!
This has to be one of my favorites. Lots of restrooms, smooth, well used trail, felt very safe.
It is the best trail around Atlanta metro area. Full of nature.
This is a good trail with multiple starting points and parking. Connects to two parks so you will have to walk along the busy road.
Tons of creeks and bridges shade benches along trail. Wild life. Easy flat smooth pavement .fun! Wheeee!!!!
The trail is mostly freshly paved and in great shape, relatively flat and beautiful scenery!
