PATH400 Greenway Trail

Extension has been completed …

March, 2026 by tarvinjc

… between Wieuca and Loridans roads. Note that the extension starts west of Ga 400, making it necessary to cross the bridge over 400 from the previous end east of 400. Well-shaded route through a valley to cross under 400 and a creek en route to Loridans. Still no markers to navigate through the Tower Place area between Peachtree & Lenox roads. Inquire locally for details.

Olde Town Conyers Trail

Nice scenic walking trail

The Old Town Conyers Trail is such a hidden gem! It’s a nice, easy trail that’s perfect whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk, a light workout, or just some time to unwind. There’s so much beautiful nature to take in along the way — from the trees to the quiet surroundings, it really gives you a chance to slow down and enjoy the moment. Definitely a great spot if you want something low-impact but still refreshing and scenic. I’ll absolutely be back! ¿¿

Silver Comet Trail

Silver Comet in March 2026

I rode the Powder springs to Hiram area on a Sunday. I parked at Dillard St. connector. A few parking spots available. That was an easy, pleasant ride. I also parked at the Rambo nursery TH, off highway 6. This was a good spot for ride across the Pumpkinvine Trestle bridge and the Brushy Mountain Tunnel. There were many massive boulders along this stretch which made for an unexpected, beautiful ride.
I also rode from Cedartown Train depot towards Rockmart and quickly encountered hills and big elevation changes. I rode only a few miles and returned to start. This was also a remote area once out of Cedartown, either direction. Check your sources for all elevation changes along trail.

Chattahoochee Valley Railroad Trail

Chattahoochee River Valley Trail

We had a hard time finding the parking for this trail. Directions on one of the earlier reviews was misleading and wrong. We finally found the north end of the trail and parking after several turn arounds. Off I 85 N heading to Atlanta take exit 79 to Valley. Turn right onto Hwy 29. Follow to 35th street, turn right. Then follow to turn left onto 22nd St. parking is at end of Street where trail begins.
The trail ends after about 1 1/2 miles. Go to right on Hwy 29 and you will see the trail again after about a half mile on the left side of the road.
We thought the beginning and ends of the trail were the nicest parts. Wooded and quiet. Mid section goes through the center of Valley along Hwy 29. Lots of traffic!

I love this trail, my imagination runs wild thinking about the history behind it. Very well maintained and freshly paved. I hope they continue to expand it.

MANO’WAR! ¿¿

Named after the famous train that was also named after the greatest horse of all time. I love the history behind this trail. The trail follows the path of the retired diesel train. Well paved and maintained. Stop by the chamber of Commerce in Hamilton for souvenirs and free refreshments.

Cricket Frog Trail

Excellent Trail

This, our first ride planned from the TrailLink app was absolutely delightful. The earlier reviews helped us plan our day, parking in the free garage deck was very convenient. The scenery was varied and surprisingly peaceful considering the proximity to Atlanta. We met friendly folks and were able to complete approximately forty miles out and back.

Carrollton GreenBelt

Wonderful Greenbelt with plenty miles...we got 29m out of it. One broken up spot, but manageable. Great downtown area restaurants.

Cricket Frog Trail

Beautiful Trail

This trail is my absolute favorite. It's so serene and peaceful. It's well maintained. My favorite part is riding the bridge over the Alcovy River. Depending on where you park there's several places to eat, or grab snacks. A great coffee shop in Mansfield called Your Perfect Cup or grab some delicious Ice cream from Marketplace CREAMERY also in Mansfield. Plenty of places to eat and shop in Downtown Covington. Be sure to plan a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Very nice ride. The inclines are a bit long, which makes the downhills a breeze!
