Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail

Worth the trip

June, 2020 by marke71116

Drove from Charlotte and cycled from Cleveland Park to Travelers Rest. Not particularly crowded on a Friday a generally everyone considerate of passing edicate. Pavement is a little bumpy in places but overall an enjoyable 22.7 mile ride.

Oklawaha Greenway

Oklawaha Greenway under Construction

June, 2020 by tom193

This trail was a big disappointment. The southern most section (about 1/3 of the total trail) was all torn up, with mud, course construction gravel and rough construction plates making this section almost un-passable. And then the trail abruptly stops, with absolutely no way to continue. After we made our way back to the parking lot, we packed up up our bikes, and headed to the northern section, which was nice - but too short to drive 2 hours to ride it.

BTW: The address for parking (763 Glover Street) does not exist. We had to ask passersby to find where to park. Disappointed in TrailLink.

P.S. We didn't see anyone working on the trail, so check with someone in the know before visiting.

Great trail for all types of cyclists to ride. It has it all: restaurants along trail, nearby grocery stores, bike shops, water fountains & restrooms.

I come this way twice a year and make it a point on our way back to PA to ride this trail. The scenery and cites are great. There are bike shops along the route which is nice. Recommend this trail to anyone .The people here always nice too.

Thermal Belt Rail-Trail

warm and welcoming

June, 2020 by donnabailey657

We had a wonderful time on the Thermal trail. A bear, 2 snakes and friendly bikers welcomed us. Some areas of shade have us rest from the sun. We will certainly ride again in the fall.

Erwin Linear Trail

Nice short riding trail.

Wifey crashed going around a pole in the middle of the trail. Bridge closed at one point, so didn’t get to see the whole thing.

Doodle Rail Trail

Good workout

May, 2020 by fenderbassist87

Excellent scenery and very well maintained. The road crossings are clearly marked but I felt there were quite a few and it somewhat disrupts your momentum. The trail is very well maintained and I thoroughly enjoyed riding it. Will definitely be back. For the mountain bikers, there are some off road areas to explore.

Point Lookout Trail

ALL uphill or ALL downhill

April, 2020 by nlevine94

Biggest thing to note, this trail is either all uphill or all downhill depending which end you begin on. It’s gorgeous, well paved for the most part, and very scenic. Will be back!

A Smooth Ride Through Small Towns

March, 2020 by montygwooten

The trail was a pleasant discovery: newly minted and smooth asphalt all the way. Congrats to the folks who put this trail together. The northern 5 miles were my favorite with its rural feel and lengthy stretches without crossings. From there south there are numerous crossing. Those in the center of Spindale require a watchful eye and steady concentration.

Purple Martin Greenway

Lovely walk

I take my dogs here all the time. It is paved so it is very family friendly.
