Zorinsky Lake Trail

Needs Redone

July, 2020 by crackerjack4255

I’ve ridden around 800 miles on this trail because it’s close to my house and it’s an asphalt surface that has many divots and roots that have grown through it. Not the best surface for bikes.

Indian Creek Trail (IA)

New rider~ trying to experience local trails

June, 2020 by arellano.marti

Indian Creek Trail- it’s ok. Very flat and quick ride! Great to add on miles to the Manawa Trail.

Skyline Trail (NE)

Mostly asphalt, mostly wide, mostly in good condition, and stretches of shade. For those who live near it's a nice and convenient walking and bike path. For inline skaters and skate boarders beware all the gravel.

Standing Bear Lake and Recreation Area Trail

love this trai

June, 2020 by icfreewithkimberly

This is my go too bike trail as it has small hills for a great first time biker. The view is beautiful with lakes and nature.

MoPac Trail (Springfield)

No improvements

June, 2020 by dschuetz

Just tried riding this trail again hoping there would be some improvement. Some areas aren’t terrible but some places are very difficult to ride through. Just north of Heron Bay there is huge crushed rock on the trail. Not even good for hybrid bikes! And so unsafe. It could be such a fun and popular trail.

Big Papio Trail

Nice paved trail

May, 2020 by murray_ben

Nice trail but not that scenic. Mix of underpasses and parks. Great if you live nearby but don’t go out of your way.

Murdock Trail

City and Country

May, 2020 by mwolfenet

-The West end of Murdock Trail begins mid-Lincoln, connecting to the Dietrich Trail at 48th street. Going East it's a paved surface. At Touzalin street it switches to Lincoln's first 10 ft wide concrete with 4 ft wide limestone surface beside it. Allows a soft surface for runners and paved for bikers with generous room to pass. At 70th St it switches to a mix of limestone and concrete running parallel to Mahoney city park. At 84th St. the overpass takes you out into the country for a serene ride with shade off & on, many birds singing, a bridge with steps down to the stream below, past alpaca's grazing in a pasture to 84th st. It's a gem of a trail, I only wish it went farther but grateful it's available to us.

Steamboat Trace Trail

Good trail, mostly

May, 2020 by kjbaseball32_tl

We started in Brownville and the ride up to Peru is terrible! Multiple trees down and very soft areas that made us walk the bikes. We almost turned around at 7 miles. The ride from Peru to Nebraska City was perfect and saved the trail! Only one tree down and the path was in great shape! If would just skip the Brownville to Peru stretch until it gets fixed.

Keystone Trail

first time

March, 2020 by livvy923

Today was my first time running on this trail. The pavement was very well kept and it being a Wednesday the trail was not crowded at all- I think I ran past 5 or 6 people. Lots of geese along the creek but they don’t mind you. Overall very good trail and despite being in Omaha it wasn’t terribly hilly!

Wabash Trace Nature Trail

August 2019 - Mineola to Imogene - about 30 miles

August, 2019 by jackiingram

Don't miss out on this wonderful trail!

My husband and I rode Mineloa to Imogene (locals say this is the most scenic part of the trail) in late August. The shady path was really welcoming and peaceful on this sunny warm Iowa day. We were lucky enough to chat with a superb bowtied gentleman, one of the original heroes who advocated to make this path a rail-trail starting in 1988 - and there was much local opposition! This gentleman, now a healthy 74 years old, rides regular and is part of the smashing volunteers on The Wabash Trace Nature Trail.

Thank you Iowa and all those who volunteer to keep this trail sparkling!
