This is actually only about 4 miles round trip. Very pretty and a nice leg stretcher.

Decent Trail

August, 2022 by wmherman

I ride this trail regularly since it's near my home. It's especially nice that it links to the very nice bike path that runs through Albany, GA and connects to the rails-to-trails project that will eventually go from Albany to Sasser. The rails-to-trails portion isn't paved yet but you can still ride 10 plus miles on the dirt path, part of the way to Sasser. All-in-all I can start at Cox Landing, ride the paved trail to Turtle Park in Albany, then ride the city bike path to the rails-to-trails path, ride part of the rails-to-trails path, then return to my starting point while covering 20 plus miles total.

good exercise!

The hubby and I went here last Saturday and it was so much fun! We didn’t have time to walk the side trails but, we enjoyed it! I’m not in the best shape in the world but, I easily did this. Well, I say easily but, the last hill on the way up was a doozy.

Starts off great!

July, 2017 by nkknox4

The trail is pretty good! The trail starts off great! After you cross the bridge the scenery goes away. It is a great exercise trail! Loved it until crossing bridge and then it turns into just a asphalt walkway in the middle of ??? and a campground at the very end. I will say the views of the lake, the bridge over the lake, the cool old architectural things, the bird scenery, the history and the waterfall make up for the last part of the trail! So yes I would go back!

loved this trail

My husband and I walked this trail in January 2017. It was well worth the walk in 30 degree weather. Look for the side trails marked by cute little signs. One took us to a waterfall. The other to a path that looked like it was straight from a fairytale. We will be coming back!

Riverfront Greenway Trail

Love it!

July, 2016 by pattihowell2001

This was a well maintained, safe, and scenic trail. It is paved with concrete; wide enough for plenty of people. The day I walked, it was only me. There are also dirt trails coming off the concrete path. They are safe, easy to walk. Although the concrete trail is about 2.4 miles, I made a 7.4 mile walk by taking some of the extra dirt paths, the loop, and walking back to my starting point (instead of getting picked up at the end of the trail.)

There are places to sit, pic nic, and fish.

Trail is being expanded

March, 2016 by garyoverton

Trail is in the process of having another leg added. Approximately 1 mile addition will connect downtown with a local campground.
I moved to Eufaula aug 1 last year and use this trail almost daily.
You'll love it

Bridge is re-opened

July, 2015 by amaerin

We visited this trail today but didn't explore the entire length due to rain. Very nice, well-maintained area with great views along the way. The previous reviewer mentioned that the bridge was out; it has been repaired and is now open.

Bridge Closed!

May, 2015 by watizit

I planned to ride this trail May 2, 2015 and found the bridge over the lake closed. The portion of the trail I did get to ride was incredible; it's too bad we couldn't see more. I haven't been able to get an answer on when it will be open again, but I did receive word today (May 27) that it is still closed. I'll hold my rating until I get to ride the whole thing. The city of Eufaula is very beautiful and we spent the day taking pictures there instead. At least the trip wasn't a total wash.

Quite Enjoyable

May, 2015 by mrs_faircloth

Walked this trail for the first time today, and was pleasantly surprised at how well this trail is maintained and how clean and well kept it is. We plan to go walk this trail again in the morning. We seen lots of wildlife and even walked up on a beautiful Doe! We also saw a cute little Oak snake who let us take a picture of him, then he scurried off on his way. Definitely will be planning many more enjoyable walks on this trail. :-)
