Silver Comet Trail

And exceptionally good ride.

July, 2021 by dmsgls101020

The Silver Comet is an excellent RT biking experience. There is one glitch to the trail. The trail ceases to be over the original railroad bead in Cedartown, Ga. From the Alabama / Georgia connect with Chief Ladiga trail to Cedartown, Ga the trail is over the original railroad bead, but it leaves in Cedartown and is somewhat hilly but paved. We started on it but turned back. We are in our 70s. From the west side of Cedartown to the end it is fully paved, concrete, and wide. You will love this trail. My first experience was around 18 years ago and rode it several times. It is exceptionally well kept up. Now in my 70s my wife and I rode this RT in November of 2020, and we look forward to riding it many more times.

Chief Ladiga Trail

A decent trail

A decent trail
I rode this trail when it about 18 years ago and rode it last November 2020. For the most part, it is maintained. It would be nice if those maintaining the trail would give more attention to the roots. Don’t let the root comment stop you from riding this trail. CL was my first RT biking experience over 18 years ago. I look forward to riding it again soon, perhaps this year, 2021. It is a fully paved asphalt trail. There is plans to the extent it two more miles we were told in 2020 by another biker.

Roswell Riverwalk

This is an easy fun mostly flat "ish" trail. A bit crowded more south but put a bell on your bike to warn walkers and most are great. Hint parking is easier under 400 in lot by river.

Reeves Creek Trail

Wonderful Short Trail Ride

May, 2021 by sopalexa74

My sister and I just started what we like to call Cycling Sundays to just get out of the house, get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors. I downloaded the TrailLink app and have absolutely loved it. We found this Trail on it and decided to try it out. A lot of the older reviews made me a little weary, especially the ones regarding the safety of the bridges. I am here to reassure everyone that those wooden bridges are no more, they were replaced with metal bridges. All in all we loved the scenery and hope that the other end of the Trail opens back up soon.

Noonday Creek Trail

Stone Mountain Trail

Not Great.

May, 2021 by triedham

Rode 11 miles west from most eastern parking lot (Stone Mountain). Poor signage at intersections and turns, great on the straight parts where you don’t need it. Many street crossings. Not very picturesque. Good, smooth surface.

Silver Comet Trail

Biked the Silver Comet today

May, 2021 by cej0415

I was looking for a relatively flat trail to condition on my road bike. This was a well-maintained, paved trail. Fun to ride, with ample straightaways to crank it up. There were quite a few people biking, blading, skating, running or just enjoying nature, but it was a pleasurable ride. Higher recommend jumping on a trailhead and checking it out.

Carrollton GreenBelt

A Surprise Gem

The Greenway trails were a lot of fun both walking and cycling. There are many entry points and a surprisingly good mix of scenery. Definitely plan to visit it when ever in the area.

Silver Comet Trail

I ride this trail at least twice a week. I start on Floyd Rd. and my goal is to go to the end, Alabama line. The furthest I've gone is 15 miles out. I love this trail for bike riding.

Silver Comet Trail

One of the best

My wife & I rode from Dallas west to the big tunnel & back. Fabulous 23 mile ride. Beautiful scenery, well kept, plenty wide enough to ride side by side. We can’t wait to explore the other parts of the trail in the future.
