This is my go to bike path. I start at Haw Ridge and ride to Elza Gate - 6miles one way. Great round trip ride! Very pretty scenery and some challenging hills.
Trail route included crossing Lamar Alexander and Montvale Rd. Traffic was respectful on both roads. Caution needed. Will park at the church next time. After crossing montvale and entering greenway to the parks, it was lovely seeing ducks, a heron, and bustling creek beside the greenway. There were alot of people on the trail.
Started from patriot park, crossed street to start trail through a neighborhood, rode .5 of a mile and unable to continue due to closed crossing and construction for water pipes. Hopefully will open soon but we will not be here.
No bike riding here!
Construction at Patriot Park. Curtails almost half of the loop around the park.
Actual ride length as measured by Fitbit app GPS is 10.89 miles Note the high side path is a bit up and down While the low side is frustrating for the driveway ramps along 80% of the route
Nice paved trail. More than enough hills for this Floridian!
Good place to ride Not to hard to navigate between sections. Some nice scenery and some so so. Easy to jump off and ride around the UT campus Be sure and tour the UT gardens while you ride by
There are new parts of the Greenway off springbrook towards Clayton. Would love to know what those look like.
Just completed the 9 mile trek; somewhat challenging for me cuz I’m out of bike shape. Those of you who ride full time will know what I mean with regards to bike shape. Otherwise, it was quite fun. The surrounding hills are eye candy for me but I have to say that it’s worth a one time ride just to mark it off my list of trails to ride. FYI, I want to ride every one of them before I kick the bucket.
Easy trail, can stop at various points to enjoy the sites. Riding through the Island when it is crowded is challenging but doable.
