This is an enjoyable trail with great mountain and field views and some very nice high-end back yards. Yes, there are a lot of gates and street crossings on the north half. There is an abrupt termination at the south end with no access. Don’t plan on entering there. It would be nice Connect it with trails going south and have access.
It’s a great trail, I go on it pretty often
Trail is closed about a thousands west of Lakeshore trail head due to bridge being built.
First time riding this trail. It is a hidden gem. Well maintained with a few cracks and bumps. Trail closed at the far west end that circles the frisbee park. Careful on the tight twisting turns to the underpass. Highly recommend but hope it doesn't get too crowded.
It was so great to ride over Timpanogos Hwy this morning!
This trail was pretty short, but of course the beautiful mountains were visible, and there were some lovely parks, houses, trees, and schools to be seen.
Scenic but very poor condition. Had to avoid many holes and roots. Foot traffic was very congested at times. Had to avoid hordes of kids in packs running cross country!
July 2021 We started at the boat docks and went all the way up and back. The trail is not bad but has a few issues. It is bumpy in places and a few of the tunnels under the roads become so narrow that you will collide if someone is coming the other direction. We quickly learned to pause and yell to see if anyone was already under/inside. You bypass suburban neighborhoods and then follow the Provo River up the beautiful canyon past Bridal Vail Falls and to a small but picturesque park. Overall a fun ride.
Beautiful walking trail. Completed a 20 mile Scout hike with my son's troop.
A fun short trail. Good for walking or biking with kids. Minor hills. Too crowded and too short for serious biking.
I have biked and run this trail from end to end multiple times. I love that it's easily accessible from my home and I can do any distance. Mostly mild ups and downs; it does have a couple of challenging hills, but that's part of the workout, right? In warm weather you may want to plan for early morning or evening use do to the lack of shade.
I have seen comments that this trail uses the emergency lane on the highway and is dangerous. Not actually true. There IS a designated bike lane on the highway, but I never use it. The separate paved trail runs parallel to the highway, but does switch sides a couple of times. These changes need better signage. Watch for these changes especially at the intersections of 13400 South and also 7800 South. Staying on the separate path is much safer and provides a more scenic and more enjoyable experience.
Side note - I have seen many types of birds, several deer, and a five foot bull snake.
