One of our favorite rides. Lots of shade for a hot days ride. We park at the back right side of the High School, there’s easy access to the trail.
The bikeway is used as a pet toilet for developments that run alongside, very few bother to clean up after their pet, disgusting. Bring a club with you to fight off aggressive, untrained dogs too.
The asphalt surface is dangerously uneven from tree roots pushing thru. The debris hasn't been cleaned off in years, so you don't know what under the dead leaves and pine needles.
Watch out for wild motorcycle riders, ebikes, and 4 wheelers roaring by. Crossing streets along the path can be deadly. Most cars fly into the intersection without being aware!
I now ride in the street where its safer!
I was looking for a trail run, and this was essentially like running on sand. Wasn’t a big fan. The other trails in the park are better.
I connected this ride to the Cape May Loop and it was a fantastic way to get in some good miles in the morning hours. I rented a Trek Domane from the Surf & Buggy Center. The bike was great and they delivered it and picked it up. If you are looking to get some good training in during your stay this is the way to do it.
I rode this trail starting in toms River with my ultimate destination being southern Long Beach Island. This is really more two trails as the first section ends and you need to ride south on route nine for a stretch and pick up the trailhead again. There are many many intersections The total stretch of trail including the route nine portion is about 15 miles and deposits you in Stratford, New Jersey. Easy ride to Long Beach Island although getting on the boulevard is not really bicycle friendly.
Good ride some rocky and sand patches. Few roads to crossover. Plenty of benches to rest
Love this trail. Great all year long. Some areas do have pavement with tree roots popping up so be careful. Also connects to Owen’s Park near the schools in Williamstown
Someone Special took me here summer of 2024 and it was a nice walk around the lake! Was going to come back in the spring unfortunately without that special someone ¿
This is a good place to hike all the trails for a couple hours! Great views!
Trail is mostly in the woods. Flat and smooth. Small trail at the high school football stadium leads to a dog park & clean port-a-potty. Very pretty and relaxing ride.
