Big Creek Greenway

ride with my bride

We rode the Big Creek Greenway today. Very well maintained and fun to ride. Lots of families getting some fresh air. It was good to be with my fellow Americans enjoying our freedom¿¿

Guild-Hardy Trail

great ride

November, 2020 by bigjonstaging

Definitely bumpy because it is gravel. I rode it the autumn so gravel and leafy. Some beautiful spots to point and shoot. From a tourist perspective- you get to see the incline, ruby falls, and craven’s house. The only “treacherous” part is the 200 yards of curvy roads and traffic at the end of the trail if you are trying to go all the way to the top of the mountain. You have to really work those legs. If you do, you can easily make it past some of the nicest views off the mountain, past the top of the incline, and to point park.

Chief Ladiga Trail

The trail is well maintained, relatively flat, and very very scenic once you get out of town. We'd definitely come again.

Silver Comet Trail

Beautiful trail with fabulous fall foliage

November, 2020 by rbovine1

We rode 38 miles yesterday, and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors on this well maintained trail. Riding through the Brushy Mountain tunnel was amazing! Very little traffic and nice fall temperatures make this trail almost perfect for a November ride. Don't wait, this is the one you want to do. We rode from Rockmart in both directions and will be back for more!

Mountain-to-River Trail

Great time!

We took a family outing for a virtual 5K along the trail. We picked it up at the Marietta Square and walked toward the mountain. Wide pathways and clearly marked. Check it out!

First bike packing trip.

Had a wonderful wonderful time on this trail! Great trail for first time long distance bikers like myself. My husband and I will be back to do the Silver Comet Trail all the way through the Chief Ladiga Trail.

Silver Comet Trail

Beautiful trail, well maintained. We rode during the week and it wasn't very busy. Shady, clean (they were blowing off leaves while we rode), mostly flat, some small hills near alabama state line, fun!

Big Creek Greenway

Excellent Trail

September, 2020 by realrainmaker

I cycled the southern section (Roswell/Alpharetta). It is wonderful, peaceful and somewhat secluded (at least when raining).

There are bathrooms, bike aid stops, call boxes, a few trash cans and benches along the pathway. Some markings indicate direction, but it is helpful to print a map for longer journeys.

The boardwalk can be slippery, but they are short patches on this portion of the trail. The northern portion may be slicker since more of it is boardwalk.

I would recommend this trail. There are plenty of deer and quiet riding. Rain wasn't an issue, though some parts of the trail had overflow from the creek. Still, it is easily in my top five trails in the metro/outer Atlanta area.

Chattanooga Riverwalk (Tennessee Riverpark)

Mesmerizing!

September, 2020 by chatchette

This trail is beyond amazing. It was the most enjoyable ride I have ever taken. Chattanooga must be pround. There are other trails around the city that I would rate with 5 ****"s as well. The scenery, the historical markers, the cleanliness, the river views, all are awesome!
