Eastside Rail Corridor Trail

No Dogs except Service Animals!!!

Beautiful trail and very well maintained park. I started the trail at the Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. Got a little over a mile in and the trail is closed in this end for restructure. I was a little disappointed. Other than that it’s a great trail to walk. Paved and flat. A few slight inclines, but easy enough for people just starting out. It’s a good workout.

FUN SHORT RIDE FOR E-BIKE RIDERS

August, 2021 by scratssun

Challenging as a first-time user. We found this trail a bit difficult to follow when riding from the north end by Home Depot as there were sections where we were off the trail on city streets and were unfamiliar with the area. We enjoyed the big hills up and the long rides down. However, on the return the trail was much easier to follow. We suggest previewing the map closely before starting. Smooth surface which was great and well maintained!

Great Trail but

August, 2021 by n69rq98tkx

Now don’t get me wrong this is a great trail! The length is stellar. The trail gives the user a great insight to the users and the community it stretches across. I just completed it today. Observations. Why is there a blank spot on a map and lack of signage between ballard locks to shilshole ave? I only figured this out from a local company in the area. Good job Ped2Go! The trail lacks maintenance and care between UW to Lake Forest. There is alot of tree roots pushing up the trail. I can’t imagine how many near accidents this causes. When a cyclist gets to Inverness Ct north to Blythe Park the trail shows sign of care and upkeep! But still a great trail to do in a day ¿

Willapa Hills State Park Trail

Willapa Hills trail 56 miles walked

There are several very hazardous places on this trail and several places you can't hike because of 'greenery' blocking the trail. Near the Gun Clubb Rd ( that's how it's spelled) you are blocked from the trail and have to go down the bank to the road. Logging trucks are whizzing by as you share the road with them. Shoulder is about 1 foot wide and at one point you cross a short bridge where you could reach out and touch the constant traffic. Definitely very dangerous. A short time later you go back up the bank to access the trail. There are 2 trestles on the trail and one has rotten boards that move when you step on them. No hand rail to help you. Near Robertson road, the trail is totally blocked off with what appears to be trees and bushes grown over the trail. You leave the trail, walk Robertson road for a short bit and then back to the trail. It seems to me that, with the exception of the trestles, the trail could be cleared to avoid road hazards. It could use some mowing of high grass but that is not a hazard but a matter of convenience.

Lake Boren Esplanade

smooth & flat~

July, 2021 by tranguyennn

Great trail for skateboarding. It’s mainly flat, so great for coasting. There’s a few crosswalks that you have to stop for, so be aware and cautious. You can also walk down to Lake Boren Park. Even tho it’s next to a busy street, I feel pretty safe on it.

Soos Creek Trail

smooth trail

This trail is great for skateboarding. There’s a few “hills”, so I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re a beginner skater. Once you’re more comfortable, it’s a great area to coast. It’s wide enough to make turns (when no one is around). There are a few areas (nearby the benches and such) that will have small rocks -watch out, they’re sneaky!

Nice ride

July, 2021 by dockeryj

We started at the Hobart end of the trail. While it is gravel at that end we preferred the lush trees, frequent river views and numerous trestles. Once you get to the section along the highway it turns into a dusty and noisy ride.

Scott Pierson Trail

I greatly enjoy this trail. There can be trash left around the tunnel by the houseless, but it is fairly clean. I recommended using the 311 just to alert the city to help keep trail clean. It's such a peaceful ride.

Lovely waterfront view

Very pleasant ride. On warm days has a combination of skate boarders, joggers and families walking. The rode is divided for wheeled vs pedestrians in certain places.
