#1 - We started at Clarence Davies Sports Complex BUT as of 5/29/26 the trail is closes due construction. So we accessed the trail from the Atlantic-Cape College Campus. Between the College and Cape May Zoo is the only shades portion. #2 - Once you get south and east of the Zoo you will be in full sunshine. We had a gorgeously cool day with full sunshine and were fine. A sunny Summer day…prepare to cook! #3 - peaceful ride and easy but not very scenic to look at
We love this trail. Almost 13 miles round trip.
This is a great trail to walk or bike. There are no steep hills but, plenty of scenery and wild life to see. Don’t forget to look at the Pennsylvania rail road station at the trail head.
Actually, it's pretty good in that it is paved, level and well-maintained. Not super scenery but pleasant enough. Worth riding if you're looking for an easy fifteen miles on a different trail.
Good for an easy paved level ride. I agree that "Pleasantville" is a misnomer. We cut it short when it got sketchy up there. Still, it's worth the ride.
Nice ride up to Lewis mid October. There is a new, large paved parking lot on Cool Spring Rd, just past the intersection at Rt 9. Need to cross Rt 9 to get to the trail, so caution is needed. Pretty ride through the tree shaded area, less so the closer you get to Lewis where it’s a lot busier.
My 1st time on this trail today. Gorgeous trail and autumn leaves are colorful! Worth a visit for sure!
Not 5 star from Lewes (Route 1) to Georgetown..
I thought the trail to Georgetown was fully completed… if it is… it’s NOT clearly marked. From Lewes the signs stop at some point and one is left to ride on Route 9 with major traffic (wide shoulder - but noisy)! Then Georgetown has NO signs letting you know where the trail is… eventually found Ingramtown Road to Airport Road. But when you get to Airport Road… there is no information where to go… so I headed to Route 9 and road the busy road back to Lewes. sign telling you to go right or left… uh
I walk these trails often. It’s one of my happy places.
A peasant 15 mile RT ride. Nothing remarkable about the trail, but nothing to complain about either. Glad we tried it!
