Province Lands Bike Trail

Great trail!

August, 2018 by irishpenguin75

Did this trail with my son (12), short & moderately challenging trail with several good hills and sharp turns. Great scenery, it winds through a few different areas of the park, so you get to bike through the piney areas by the shore and deeper, denser forested areas further inland. There's a short little spur to a neat little pond too. Great trail for families with middle school age kids and above.

Cape Cod Rail Trail

June, 2018 by bhalt299

This is a great trail that my wife and I have been riding for many years. We love the new trail head in South Dennis on Main St. It is much more accessible than the parking on Route 134. The trail to the west (towards Yarmouth) is still not opened yet because of the finishing of construction of the bridge over the Bass River. We heard it will be open later this summer. Can’t wait!

Shining Sea Bikeway

One of my favorites.

August, 2017 by lughnerson

Dateline June 26, 2017, perfect weather, clear in the low 70's. Camped in Sandwich, MA and went to a different bike trail every day. This was the best. Starting in N. Falmouth, a bike shop close by, the trail goes through pine barrens, past cranberry bogs, inlets of bay, directly on/by a nice beach where lots of bikers stop, and down to Woods Hole for refreshments. On the way back took a detour through Falmouth, past another bike shop. One of my favorite rides ever.

Mattapoisett Rail Trail

Part of the Phoenix Bike Trail

August, 2017 by lughnerson

Short and wonderful. Very smooth and gentle hills. I could not tell where this one and Phoenix joined, so it was all one to me.

Phoenix Bike Trail

Short but worth it

August, 2017 by lughnerson

This is just a really nice suburban bike path with some lovely scenic vistas. I spent 3 days in Cape Cod, doing a different bike trail each day. This was the last and shortest. It was really a nice way to end my trip, see some vistas of Cape Cod Bay and those new to me wind turbines. At one point I was riding almost directly underneath one and could hear the gentle sound of the rotating blades. There is one very cool stop that is a concrete pier looking onto a bay marsh.

Cape Cod Rail Trail

Dennis to Orleans is nice.

August, 2017 by ellenkillam

We did this trail in 2 days, Dennis to Webster then Webster to Wellfleet. The trail is nice and scenic Dennis to Orleans because you go by some ponds. There are some nice beaches and a state park where you can cool off. There is not much scenery from Orleans to Wellfleet. At the end of the trail in Wellfleet there is a general store and port a potties. You would have to ride about 2 miles on route 6 which is very busy or go about 5 miles on very hilly roads to get to any restaurants and that is pretty much all there is in Wellfleet. I suggest take a break at the end, get some food at the store, then head back. Or just go to Orleans. If you do go into Wellfleet and come back route 6 go all the way to the Marconi Beach turnoff where there are walk lights for an easy crossing.

Shining Sea Bikeway

Great trail

July, 2017 by dimasboy

It's another awesome bike path on the Cape. Watch out for frost heaves and roots causing bumps. It could also be a little overgrown out of the season but it's usually in pristine condition between May and October (when it's also pretty busy).
