Spring Creek Trail (TX)

Wonderful riding or walking experience

July, 2020 by roseestrada

We have been riding the concrete path on the Spring Creek Trail across from the Botanical Gardens for the past year. They have put up a new Center and trails. One goes way up the hill and one goes around the woods. Lovely and fun. We saw today 4 Armadillos, Great Blue Heron, hundreds of birds and 2 bunnies. Today we explored an area that we thought were just houses but come to find out, another 4 miles of trails. We ended up just off of Aldine Westfield. It was a wonderful 10 mile ride today and there is plenty of room for bikers and walkers. Very impressed!! Great Job Spring Creek Trail!!

Mesquite Heritage Trail

Wide paved paths great for walking. Decent amount of foot traffic. If you enjoy looking at houses and power lines this trail is for you. Great for beginning EUC and one wheel riders due to the wide paved path and grass on each side.

Had great time with kids! They really got tired after months at home due to COVID19

May, 2020 by sumeyye.cetintas

Great trail! My kids had fun with their scooters and skate board. They saw baby turtles and dragon flies! Got lost for a short time (it was out first visit and we were unprepared for the trails). So I advice you to get prepared before diving into trails!

Chaparral Rail Trail

Muddy Ride

May, 2020 by mefeney

The first 2.5 miles are paved out of Farmersville. The next 2.5 miles is crushed rock. It was great for the first 5 miles. I was hoping to do the entire 35 miles but I hit the great Texas Peanut butter soil (TX Clay). After riding through the first section and cleaning the mud off the bike I hit another section. I bailed the trail and went for a pleasant 36 mile ride on the farm roads. Riding the shoulder of 78 is pretty sketchy and I would t recommend it.
