Gorgeous day for a ride. Went out to Pine Mountain and rolled the Man-O-War trail. Get out and ride folks ¿
Most of trail is blocked by road construction. Can ride a little in the National Park but have to stay on paved roads….they have some nice hiking trails but off limits to bikes. Find some place else to ride until construction is completed….probably 2026 or 2027.
We ride this trail the most and Elena did serious damage to the trail. We now park at MLK HS as the South River parking is under construction. We appreciate the clean up done after Elena, however another large tree needs to be removed about a mile north of the SR trailhead.

Today April 11, 2025, we rode this beautiful trail. It is well maintained with asphalt in great condition, lots of mile marker signs which even have the kilometers and elevation on them, lots of benches to sit and relax on and a mix of open sunny spots and tree shaded spots. We stopped at the Callaway Country Store for lunch. There is a nice paved path to take you from the trail up to the store. On the way back we stopped at Hamilton Ice Cream Company for some chocolate ice cream.
Managed to do the whole trail today. We weaved in and out of crowds around the ballparks and even went by the lake. Beautiful ride. A few stops but only one over a moderately busy road. Very well thought out trail. ¿
I enjoyed it. Very easy and safe. There’s a bike track here too.
We really enjoyed this trail. Newly paved, wide path, marked well, and scenic.
The trail itself was nice, but a couple of the parking lots were overgrown. We did not feel safe in the area.
Be prepared for walkers, sidewalks, hills and traffic ¿
Absolutely beautiful path, well maintained, clean, regularly spaced trash cans and places to stop and sit. It does climb in elevation but the path is well leveled so the ride is comfy the whole time. I will be riding this particular trail again!
