This is a good trail, but if you start in Milford and do the entire checkmark there are a lot of street crossings. The pretty parts of the trail are nice and shady and wooded, but there is a fair amount of commercial areas that you have to get through. It’s nice and flat and there are lots of parking areas along the way. My gps did not take me to a parking lot but when I put the trail into AllTrails I got accurate directions.
This route was a continuation from Amesbury’s River Walk Trail which was a bit hard to find because there is no signage pointing you in the right direction. As I continued on it proved to be a well groomed path/ride. Road was in very good condition and weed control was well taken care of. This trail started out paved then turned into well packed crushed stone/dirt. A mountain bike would work well here but it was very manageable with a road bike as well. Beautiful ride through the woods. We continued on to the Ghost Trail from here.
Parked in the parking lot on Water St. There are no signs pointing you towards the start of the walking/bike path. Once I found it I was on my way. Then the path went downhill in a bad way. Overgrown weeds and thorns in the paths way and not to mention all those little pot holes and low lying branches. Some areas it was hard to stay on your side of the yellow line. Very poor path maintenance until you get to the back of Stop & Shop. Then again you’re on your own to find the continuation of the route. No signs at all pointing you in the right direction. What a shame. It could’ve been a very enjoyable ride. Hope they clean the area soon.
From Massabesic Lake parking lot to Raymond and back. Beautiful ride. Keep an eye on rocks on the trail. Otherwise, well marked and excellent ride in nature to pretty much all to yourself. Enjoy!
We started at Walpole after searching for the trailhead parking lot finally parked our car thanks to the locals at the Irving station. We almost didn’t recognize the trail because it was grass. There were no markings and we found ourselves initially at the river at the boat launch because we didn’t realize that was the trail we were following. After backtracking, we followed the other grass trail toward Keene. Although there were portions that were dirt and gravel, the 9 mile ride that we managed to cover at 6 miles an hour with primarily grass. After an hour and a half, we realize we are only halfway to our destination of Keene and we turned back.. I recommendation would be not to start in Wall Paul, but to start and keen where the trail is paved
Salem to Derry - entirely paved Awesome trail will do it again!
Started at Salem Depot and went north to Derry…awesome ride Entire path is pavement

The Mrs and I rode this beautiful trail from North Hampton to just short of Belchertown, and back.
The weather was great and the trail is mostly shaded, so the ride was superb.
I'd have no objection to doing it again.
1st time we went south to combine with Methuen trail, some crossing lights were not working, a part of trail is hard packed dirt so a wider tire made it easier
