Ribbon cutting ceremony for the bridge opening was on 27 Feb 26. Today, the trail now extends from Fishers to 82nd ST
We ride this trail a lot but always dread the section passing through Thorntown. The bumps in the trail are one thing as not cheap to repave but the overhanging honeysuckle is easily remedied. We often start on the south side of Thorntown and ride to Lebanon just to avoid this bone rattling stretch.
Beautiful trail ride on 11/15/25! It runs along beside a horse trail. You will see lots of farms, cows, chickens and horses and cornfields, loved it, from Amo to Greencastle .Would have give it a 5 star if there would have been bathrooms at the end of the trail.
I love this trail. It’s maintained very well, and I feel generally safe as a woman going through the wooded areas alone
Hi I run and Bike. Water fountains open at Pekin trail head. Partial crushed rock and paved. Awesome trail.
We started at the dam and it was hard to find the start as there was no markings to say this was the start of the trail we found as we were about to leave over to the right. From there the trail was great for about 9 miles but then the gravel became so big we were having a bit of trouble riding. But all in all a fun little trail with some cool bluffs and neat bridges
The Thorntown parks and recreation dept needs to step it up a notch on this section of the trail. The bumps are so significant it jars my teeth and nearly throws me off the bike. Most of the rest of the trail from Lebanon to Colfax is just fine.
There was some work done on the 1 1/2 mile section just out of Lebanon, which is now relatively smooth. Thorntown needs to fix that one or two sections. The one just after the street cross-over bridge coming into Thorntown and then the most horrible section from Thorntown to the bridge crossing over the river. That section is bone jarring.
Covered bridge Gateway Trail in Rosedale, Indiana keep you updated
Had a wonderful bike ride with the family. It was a hot day, but the shaded trail made for a delightful time. We parked at S Llama St where there is a small gravel parking lot, unloaded the bikes and rode the 1.6 miles to the bridge just East of S Canal St. that crosses a creek. The scenery in summer was great and the newly updated bridge was well done. An added bonus was all the trail crossings over the streets were stamped concrete that resembled the rail crossings that used to be there.
