Fishing Line Trail (Noble)

My wife and I took our Onewheel GTs on this trail, and it was very peaceful. Took us about 30 minutes to get from Kendallville to Rome City. If you bring a Onewheel, be sure to be mindful of cyclists and joggers.

Pumpkinvine Nature Trail

Check out the newly paved Goshen section!

September, 2024 by msherer1622

For several decades the first 1.5 miles of the pumpkinvine nature trail heading out of Goshen was indeed crushed limestone. It was decent, but dusty, or iffy when wet. Well, this September the city finally decided to pave it and it’s awesome—wide, smooth asphalt, with limestone shoulders. In the last year, they also finished the section connecting CR 33 to CR 35 so the trail really feels like it’s finally done and among the nicer trails in the state. Be sure to check out Mooey’s, the Amish ice cream shop at mile marker 6. They’re open thru September 28.

DeKalb County Trail

The trail is getting widened so it will no longer be a glorified sidewalk. The surface will be asphalt. I can't wait to give it another chance!

Angola Trail

If you want nature this is not the trail for you. Spent most of the trail crossing roads and watching out for cars.

Fishing Line Trail (Noble)

Great ride

It was hot and muggy, but under the canopy of trees it was wonderful. Some hills, but not too bad. This is one of my top three bike trails.

I’m not sure how this trail is a 5 star trail? The surface is mediocre with fragments, roots, and bumps. It’s confusing with multiple turns and trail closures. It’s unsafe with crossings at busy intersections and sections running along side busy roads. My husband and I used our road bikes. We were disappointed with the section we rode. Maybe other sections are better? We will not be returning or recommending this trail to others for biking.

It’s a fun little trail with a lot of nature to admire

Pumpkinvine Nature Trail

Beautiful trail through Amish country

July, 2024 by ptaylor5505

Rode this trail last year. Started in Goshen and headed toward Middlebury. There is a large section of trail that is exposed to the wind. Chose a calm day, it’s not pleasant riding into a 20 mph wind!¿

Pufferbelly Trail

Great trail

We bike this nearly every day. Easy access from our home. Great shad and wind block with only a few hills.

Very Nice Trail -- extended another mile or so along Sylvan Lake in Rome City in 2024

Very well kept and comfortable trail. Effective July '24 extends an additional mile or so beyond what's indicated here, along the Sylvan Lake dam on the west end.

Falling Waters Trail

Well Maintained Great Ride

July, 2024 by truthorcon

Started in Jackson and went west to Concord (against the wind). In Concord continue west on the street when trail terminates. Ate lunch in Concord Tavern downtown which is to your left as you dead-end into Main Street... fantastic pizza.
Then rode back to Jackson (with the wind). Saw deer, birds, and lots of little critters. Very enjoyable outing of 22 miles round-trip.
