Great paved trail. Very peaceful and quiet, and it would be an easy ride for families with children. Very scenic if you really pay attention toon to all the wildlife and flowers.
Rode the trail July 13. I agree with other riders. Trail is smooth and very well maintained. Someone has even painted distance marks on the pavement every 10th of a mile! Do not expect restrooms or water along the trail.
Little challenging ride! Morse beach beautiful view along with potters bridge!
Rode from Syd's Tavern and finished back at Syd's had a great ride, but even a better lunch!!!
This is a great trail for indiana. There is a chunk of the trail near the brady street crossing in muncie that heaving of the asphalt is occuring. After experiencing one especially bad heaved area, i will say that people riding bikes at a higher speed really need to watch these. They will jump you and your bike unexpectedly. I am hopeful that whomever is responsible for this portion of the trail will grind these down or replace the heaved sections entirely. There should not be these safety issues present on a paved trail.
Best trail in Indy!
My first time in this trail. Fully enjoyed it. Well taken care of with easy access at many places along the trail. Indiana drivers were very accommodating at intersections. Now I want to ride another section of this trail.
Me and a couple of friends biked the whole 27.2 miles and back. We would do it again.
This trail is amazing! It is peaceful, scenic with very little noise from traffic.
This is a great trail if you have a mountain bike. The first few miles are paved, but there are some sections that had some small gravel. It was mostly comfortable riding, but as I said-on my mountain bike. I would not take a road bike on the length of this trail. You have to do some crossing of country roads that aren't paved. It's a nice, peaceful ride overlooking some fields and beautiful scenery. The only issue I had is when the trail gets to Thorntown and when you cross the street-look for the blue markers on the pavement. I initially missed it, but found my way. The trail ends up on a bridge overlooking Sugar Creek. I am excited for them to finish the trail all the way to Colfax and then to Lafayette.
Nice trail. Hopefully it does connect to Erie trail out of North Judson one day. If it does it needs to stay one one side since HVRM owns right of way to Monterey. This be nice trail if both railroad and trail share same ground!
A nice area to run, bike, and walk. Mixed open and wooded areas from Purdue and WL parks.
