Snoqualmie Valley Trail

Great ride, watch for bears

September, 2020 by gtraxler99

Started at Duvall, rode 18 miles to Tokul tunnel on Labor Day. The part from Duvall to Carnation is the least pretty, so I would start at Carnation next time. I did see one adult bear scooting across the trail just in front of me before I got to Fall City.
Trail in excellent shape, not very busy.

Looks like a great trail, but it appears to be closed for renovations. Not sure how much of it is closed, but the trailhead is under construction.

Cedar River Trail (WA)

detour

September, 2020 by rebecca.finkel

Started out at Renton Community Center and headed south. I wasn’t aware of the detour near the trestle which meant riding on the sidewalk along 169 for about a mile or so. Thankfully it wasn’t crowded but was a bit nerve wracking riding back with my 5 year old on the wide walk against oncoming traffic going 50mph - was relieved we didn’t have to share the sidewalk at all. We rode about 5 miles and then turned around. Overall really nice - virtually empty today maybe due to holiday weekend or bc so much sun exposure?

Eastside Rail Corridor Trail

trail closure

September, 2020 by rebecca.finkel

We were looking forward to trying out the ERC today since we were short on time but wanted to get in a ride. We arrived at Newcastle to find that the trail is closed for paving for the 2 miles bet Newcastle and Seahawks training facility. Riders are using on-road detour but hills were prohibitive for my new rider and we prefer trails to shared roads for kiddo’s safety. Decided to head to Cedar River Trail instead (which also had a detour but a shorter one on sidewalk)

Snoqualmie Valley Trail

Snoqualmie to Tokul Trestle

September, 2020 by davidlee48

Walked the section between 356th st and Tokul Trestle with the dog. The 2.4 mile walk to the trestle is easy and flat, mostly shaded, and has a couple of open spots with valley views. Around 1.7 miles in you can hear range noise from the Snoqualmie Gun Club. The Tokul Trestle is amazing and high above the river below, and we passed about half a dozen bikers, runners and hikers.

1st long distance run

September, 2020 by matthew.a.collette

I really enjoy this trail. I only run from Lynnwood to green lake. I guess it’ll be closing until the light rail construction is finished. Great run

Yelm-Tenino Trail

nice trail but section closed

August, 2020 by svaron

Trail is closed for construction until 9/30/2020 west of the intersection with the Chehalis Trail. We didn’t feel comfortable detouring on the highway running parallel and are not sure how long the closed section was. We did enjoy our ride on it from Yelm to the closed point and then just turned around a did about 6 miles on the Chehalis trail before heading back to Yelm. Great cookie bakery in Ranier- The Cookie company on Main St. It was a bonus on the way back to Yelm.

Whoa!

August, 2020 by mwskibike

Had I known, I would have brought a bucket! Not from this area, so I didn’t know the blackberries would be ripe and there are bunches of them on the edges of the trail at the north end. They made a great lunch!

Willapa Hills Trail

South Bend to Raymond

August, 2020 by dennis10406

Started in South Bend. From there to Raymond it was just ok. Along the highway. At Raymond the trail actually goes on an old rail line but it is seldom used. This is mid August so the blackberry bushes are over the trail and we actually woke up this morning with a flat tire caused by a thorn. I heard this trail was nice and saw nice pictures but not at the west end.

I-90 Trail

great run!

August, 2020 by adrianireyna

Started at the Seattle end of the trail. The run is a combination of slight uphills and downhills, but completely manageable. Running though the bridge and the tunnel is fun. Ended up at Factoría, and caught a Lyft back to the starting point where I parked. A total of 8 miles was the run.

Green River Trail

Great way to spend the day peddling along the Green River. Well paved, hardly any grade, and lots of signs for easy to follow detours due to work on the levies. Not very crowded on a Tuesday afternoon.
