We begin our ride on the State Highway 93 Trail on its northern end at Golden’s North Table Mountain Park (the park’s West Trailhead). The park is in a beautiful area with other (unpaved) trails to explore. We rode this trail for about 1 mile south to its connection with the Tucker Gulch Trail (near the intersection of Mesa Drive and Joseph Circle) and enjoyed both trails. Although the State Highway 93 Trail parallels the roadway, there’s a nice median in between with native grasses and wildflowers, as well as the occasional wall, so the experience felt safe and pleasant.
We begin the Tucker Gulch Trail on its northwestern end at a connection with the State Highway 93 Trail (near the intersection of Mesa Drive and Joseph Circle in Golden). From there, we headed southeast, through Norman D. Memorial Park, quiet neighborhoods, and scenic natural areas until reaching the Golden Freeway underpass. It was just over a mile of riding and a very pleasant experience.
We biked a section of the Grange Hall Creek Trail in Thornton from Margaret Carpenter Park through the south end of Grange Creek Park and into the Riverdale Open Space. It was a really pleasant ride through a beautiful natural setting and a prairie dog habitat.
We only road from the historic park in Dillon to Keystone. I must admit, my favorite section was the small portion that went to Keystone as we were further from highways, closer to the creek and in more shade. 70° in CO feels more like the 80° in TN due to altitude. Breeze off the lake was great and good views Overall, I enjoyed the trail but was amazed at the number of people in both directions. Luckily there was at least one coffee/ sandwich shop open in Keystone. Sorry we missed the bluegrass festival this past weekend.
Rainbow Trail is a great stress free connector from the Arvada firefighters Park to the east rainbow park in North Arvada. Nice wide well maintained concrete trails. Mostly passes in between fences of houses on each side of the route but with ample trees. Great way to get to King Soopers (80th & Wadsworth) from the West End of Arvada.
Starting in spring canyon community park and riding towards downtown, this is a great loop and connects to other great routes. Spring creek trail is one of my favorite ft collins pathed rides. If you have a mountain bike they have a small fun park to ride some dirt hills. If you enjoy scenery, the ride takes you past several nice farms, under bridges, and by some nice lakes and streams. Several breweries along the way that are bike friendly and to fill up your canteen or jugs. Love the ride
This trail is well paved and an excellent ride. The connection from Timnath to Windsor is not connected. Unless there’s an alt route it abruptly ends in a field. Being stubborn I powered through the field following pink land surveying markers. Since there is no bridge, I had to go down a dirt road and use a bridge to get to the other side of the water. The dirt road turns to thick, hard to ride grass, and found myself riding through an oil rig site. From there I took the dirt road to the street. The street, going left, leads to a lake and greenway, the first right you can take. There’s some construction Windsor after the park and to navigate toward Greeley you have to take some street. Unless I’m mistaken the path is not complete. As soon as it is this is a must ride! Stopped at Luna’s Tacos in Windsor and great halfway rest drink and grub spot.
We did 15 miles starting by the Chilson rec center and went west all the way to the end by Oxbow missing the bridge that goes under 34. We then crossed under 34 to Mehaffey Park. Had a nice picnic break there and turned back. It was a great ride.
I rode this trail while in town for a conference and it did not disappoint. Use the lime bikes too. It was peaceful.
Rode from MM 0, west to Fox Hollow Golf course. The trail starts in a very urban area, surrounded by many houses and shopping centers. This area the trail is narrow, with some sharp turns. As it goes west it opens up with a wider trail and lots of great scenery. It crosses the Bear Creek trail about 6 times in the first 9 miles. It goes through a park where the trail is surrounded by fields of prairie dogs. The scenery around the golf course is very pretty.
We started at the trailhead in Superior and road to the Flagg Creek trailhead. This is a really well maintained, mostly gravel, trail. It winds around a number of neighborhoods and through many open spaces with really interesting views of houses AND the front range mountains. It follows a river crossing it many times. There were only a few road crossings with most of the trail having underpasses with no need to deal with traffic. All in all, a really fun ride!
