South Shore Trail

not worth it

December, 2024 by mjmehalic

This “trail” is nothing more than a sidewalk behind a shopping center.

Cross Island Trail

Cross Island extended

November, 2024 by smerchant1120

I frequently ride the Cross Island Trail. You can extend your ride starting at the Royal Farms. Continue on Sadler Rd when it ends make a left on Chester River Beach Rd then right on VFW Ave. At the Quality Inn make a left onto Winchester Creek Rd. Then right onto Hissey Rd and then left back onto Winchester Creek Road. Stop at Nesbit Rd. The roads are not busy and will add 4 more miles to your round trip.

Walking out from the Kent Island Hyatt Hotel not very nice

October, 2024 by rebeccabeynon

We were on Kent Island for a wedding, and we took a stroll from the Hyatt Hotel in the direction away from the Bay Bridge. The trail runs alongside the busy road for a mile or so, then there’s a short stretch in a pleasant piney woods, and then back to the busy road. The trail is well maintained and the surface is good, and the part in the woods was pretty nice. But for most of our 3.5 mile walk (total, there and back) it was like walking beside a busy road. If I did this again, I’d try to access the trail at a place where you would have a nicer experience.

Three Notch Trail

Three years later

September, 2024 by c8

BARN CATS STILL THERE! I couldn't believe it. Again, one was laying on the trail, just as chill as could be. An hour later, it was still there! Must have become jaded with all the attention it must get, b/c it didn't care about my presence, or the little pat I gave it, lol.
Trail is still a pleasant getaway in the country. Very little traffic on the trail on an early Saturday evening. Still in good shape. Some bumps in it now, from tree roots, but they are few and far between. Wish I could live along this trail.

Kent Island South Trail

Great Trail

July, 2024 by tpslucks

Liked the trail very much. However, I’ve seen other maps that show this trail actually begins on the north side of Rt-50 on the westbound side and connects to the trailhead. Is that portion part of this trail? It would make for a much longer route.

Milton Rail-Trail

lovely semi-forested, pathed walk

July, 2024 by christine.m.layton

This trail goes through forest, field, and some pretty neighborhoods. Excellent for Pokemon players, dog walkers, and meanderers.

Henson Creek Trail

Best trail in PG county hands down.

Easton Rail-Trail

Very lovely in-town trail!

July, 2024 by tpslucks

While the trail in town is very lovely, relatively short, it’s very clean and enough meandering through green space, I really enjoy the less known western spur more. That trail spur on the opposite side of Easton Parkway is really awesome. I love riding through the well laid curves and tree canopies. Enough trail benches and smooth pavement. Love it!

Henson Creek Trail

A hidden gem

July, 2024 by rdroll

Rode this trail twice this month. Lightly used with only one street crossing. Only encountered one area washed out by the creek that had a gravel bypass. Watch out for a big bump just before a bridge. I hit it going to fast and it took out my front tire. They have added a bike repair station at the Tucker Road Ice Rink with a stand, tools and a pump.

Indian Head Rail Trail

Nice trail for walking and biking

June, 2024 by williamlim89

This is a nice trail for walking and biking. There is a good sized parking lot in the Waldorf area and parking along the trail as well. It is definitely worth a visit.

Three Notch Trail

Beautiful Country Views…

June, 2024 by allen.tinasia

I haven’t seen any recent reviews regarding this location so I wanted to write an update. I am an inline skater & enjoy new trails to try. It’s a beautiful location for the most part. Very quiet & a nice long trail with minimum elevation. It is surrounded by an Omish community, & farmlands throughout the entire route. Although it was beautiful views of the land & farms, it also had downsides. The roads were not very smooth, but still nice enough to skate on. There was animal poop all on the trail you have to avoid if you care about your wheels. It also smells like farmland. Do with that as you wish. Happy Riding!

Indian Head Rail Trail

Amazing trail !

June, 2024 by allen.tinasia

I haven’t anything new so I thought I would add one. I love this route! I am an inline skater and it is a very smooth ride. It is not super crowded & very peaceful. The people are really nice & I never have any issues.
