Cottonwood Creek Trail (McKinney)

Chill run through the McKinney burbs ¿

October, 2024 by t6t7z2q6br

This is a nice paved trail that stretches a decent chuck of the McKinney suburbs. Plenty of places to split off and hit a store if you need some quick fuel or hydration.

Northeast Texas Trail

It’s definitely not finished.

September, 2024 by roryzimpelman23

Started it at the very nice New Boston trailhead and after 3 miles the asphalt disappears into dirt and grass. It’s very doable on a gravel or mt. bike but this is not a paved greenway by any means. Hopefully it eventually becomes one.

Northeast Texas Trail

Trail needs some TLC

June, 2024 by abqduffer

Drove up to the Farmersville trailhead and left from the Onion Shed. Lots of cracked pavement for the first segment (~1 mile). Good concrete segment for next mile or so. Then it’s crushed granite with some washout in sections. Turned around after ~5 miles at FM2149 as trail surface was crushed gravel and very rough ride.

Caddo Trail

Nice trail; lot of trees; shade.

Caddo Trail

Well Shaded Trail

May, 2024 by katelynbdavis96

I was pleasantly surprised by this trail. Almost the entire trail is covered with trees like a boulevard with a stream on one side and upscale homes on the other. There are two points where you have to cross the street, but the trail is well marked on the street and I never felt unsafe.

Lakefront Trail

Great ride

March, 2024 by womble87

Rode the trail on my E-bike from Farmersville for 17miles. You start to run in to big mud puddles after 10 miles as of March 30 but I’m sure that will dry up in the next month or so.

Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve Trail

Great trails and bird watching.

December, 2023 by jpetersontx

Perfect fall day for 12 miles of adventure with my dog. We enjoy the wide paved trails and even the hiking trails now that the snakes are less active. Saw a few ducks, and a great blue heron.

Celebration Pass Hike and Bike Trail

easy and quick

September, 2023 by megansanchez25

Great ride on a weekday or weekend, extremely easy and enjoyable. It’s got some views but it’s more about the ride! Love it and it’s pet friendly

Chaparral Rail Trail

nice trail

March, 2023 by tqynxtfhz5

Biked about 11 miles, starting in Farmersville. Other than a few muddy spots, it’s a good ride. Progresses from asphalt, to different types of gravel to trail. Spring seems like the perfect time to go. I would not recommend this trail during the summer, or on any other type of bike, other than a mountain or hybrid. The park in Farmersville desperately needs a restroom.

College Parkway Hike and Bike Trail

nice neighborhood trail

March, 2023 by jennifizz

Nice length and sidewalk. Wish Frisco would beautify it. Needs more shade, trees and benches and maybe arbors. Then it would be perfect.

Watters Branch Trail

nice could use a clean up

October, 2022 by stewxl

Nice peaceful winding trail thru the neighborhoods. Parts have been over taken by mud and debris as to be expected so would be nice if at times the city could clear out those issues to avoid those who bike from having a possible flat or damage. As well as disrespectful dog owners who dont clean up after their pets that relieve themselves on the trail instead of the grass. Other than that really enjoyed the trail and its connectivity to other trails in the area

Chisholm Trail

Great Trail To Trick Your Family Into Going Further

October, 2022 by sdavis29

This is a great trail that I used to run every day starting at the library going down to the senior center at 15th and back. Now I am riding a bike and dragging my family out and there are enough options to keep them distracted to keep going further and the days I go alone there are a lot of connecting trails along with riding on the sidewalk for a bit in between that it is awesome and can make new routes whenever.
