Olympic Discovery Trail - Blyn to Elwha River

lost in Sequim

July, 2020 by bkwelvis

I liked the trail. I started in Blyn. The first part is a little hilly and a fairly dull ride through the woods. I got lost multiple times in Sequim both coming and going. Better signage please. After that is goes through some nice rural areas and farmland. I turned around about 20 miles in because I was having a few back spasms. I missed what I’ve been told in the best part, with nice water views. I’ll ride the entire route next time. Please add better signs and directions in Sequim.

Cascade Trail

Wondeful ride up and down Cascade Trail

July, 2020 by georgesaul

Saturday, July 25, 2020 72 degrees, sunny. Gorgeous views with foothills in near background. Skagit River was beautiful and very close-by the first half of trip going up. Gravel trails were in good shape. Some to be expected potholes. Only one 1/2 mile easy detour. In 5 hours in the trail we saw only 15-ish other people. Where are they on such a gorgeous day? Everyone we encountered was very pleasant. Highly recommend for round trip or 1-way!

Interurban Trail (North)

Biked Interurban North from Greenwood Seattle to Lynnwood, July 25, 2020, and the signage is MUCH better than last time. Many useful signs pointing to nearby points of interest, and didn't lose track of the trail this time.

North Creek Trail

so so

July, 2020 by debimiller9_tl

Great for walking and the plenty of those on the trail but lots of twist and turns and can’t see around. Hard to follow and too short to bother.

Sammamish River Trail

sunny wide open

July, 2020 by debimiller9_tl

Very smooth paved trail with lots of traffic. We rode a total of 29 mi R/T The trail keeps going to Sammamish lake and we turned around about4 miles into that trail. Lovely bathroom by the lake.

Great American Rail-Trail

Great ride today

July, 2020 by vlc9802

We rode this trail from Toulon to Princeville today. It was great! The path was very good. It is mostly shaded. Excellent. We stopped in Wyoming on our way back for lunch. Ate at 111 Coffee Shop. Don’t be fooled, this is NOT just a coffee shop. The lunch was delicious. And it is decorated all with bikes! Perfect for us bikers. And check out the bathroom. Cute!!! Can’t wait to do more of the route from Princeville going south.

Burke-Gilman Trail

very busy

July, 2020 by debimiller9_tl

Road construction and lots of people using the trail. But great views of the lake and beautiful homes along the way. Well marked and loved all 36 miles round trip.

East Lake Sammamish Trail

lots of deep gravel, not great signage

July, 2020 by rebecca.finkel

We rode this last week. I would not use a road bike on the gravel - it’s quite deep in some sections and lasts several miles. Also there are very few parks or public spaces along the trail so limited places to make stops for snacks and virtually no bathrooms. Many mansions along the way and lots of peekaboo views of the lake. I wish there was more signage too- we were riding from Marymoor to Lake Sammamish state park and couldn’t find our way into the park (hint: enter through boat launch next time). Instead we added several miles rising on the steeets in Issaquah.

Sammamish River Trail

great flat trail

July, 2020 by rebecca.finkel

We rode this trail in its entirety over two different days. Our kiddo just learned how to ride a two wheeler and we’ve been practicing trail etiquette. This trail is crowded so if young kids are riding they should be prepared to stay to the right, use voice or bell when passing. The scenery changes throughput and there are many places and parks to stop and take a break, eat snack or use the bathroom

Snoqualmie Valley Trail

Carnation to Tokul Trestle Out and Back

July, 2020 by tmurison

Rode out and back from Carnation to the big trestle with two kids (12 & 14) today. Trail in fantastic shape, lots of bikers and families on/along the trail. Railroad grade on the way up was totally manageable for us and made the return trip breeze by. Lots to see with bridges and some views of the valley below as it climbs. Highly recommended. We parked immediately adjacent to the trail in Carnation, noticed many other access points and one ~ 2 miles from the Tokul trestle that would make a good hiking destination or biking for younger kids. Total trip time was 1 hour 53 mins with plenty of stops.

Preston-Snoqualmie Trail

Pleasant and Shaded

July, 2020 by tubobshakur

This trail isn’t particularly remarkable in terms of scenery, and the “viewpoint” at the end is disappointing and an overstatement. But, because there are many better options out there in that respect, this trail isn’t overcrowded, which is nice. And, ultimately, the trail is pleasant, well shaded, and enjoyable.

Snohomish County Centennial Trail

Centennial Trail North to South

July, 2020 by georgesaul

Gorgeous day. 75, partly sunny, not very crowded. Countryside 75% of ride was extremely pleasant and pretty. There was a 1 mile detour as was noted on the official website. A busy, narrow road was the only bypass we could find. This Snohomish trail should serve to inspire other communities. Well done! The Trail Link web site should have links to the local official website(s). If it already does, I should have looked harder.
