Black Diamond Trail

Great Way to Pass a Beautiful Day

July, 2020 by dsterf62

In the fall of 2018, I was camping at Taughannock Falls State Park, and rode this trail into Ithaca. The trail was rural and shaded, made of crushed gravel and well maintained, with a gentle uphill grade on the way back.

There is a nice park called the Ithaca Children's Garden at the end of the trail in Ithaca, and many other trails and walkways in Ithaca as well.

Between the trails, the city, the parks, and all the waterfalls, you could easily spend a lovely day here, which is just what I did. I look forward to coming back to this area, in the near future.

Ridgeway Trail

not impressed

Overgrown badly.

Lackawanna Rail Trail

Nice Trail No fishing access

June, 2020 by jrakiser

Directions, parking and trail description all accurate, but there was no fishing access as described. The area as described a out a mile out from the trail head was too steep with rocks and a dense tree and bush line.

Catharine Valley Trail

Sunday 5/31

June, 2020 by linerunner98

Good trail... we started from a parking lot near the lake. The signs early could be a little clearer. One might consider starting at Watkins Glen HS. Some of stretches were absolutely great. Forest canopy was really nice. We were nearing the end of the trail when the weather abruptly changed not for the better. All in all a very enjoyable ride. A

Pine Creek Rail Trail

excellent trail

June, 2020 by cfernscpa

Well maintained, Wellsboro to Jersey shore downhill. Stayed in Wellsboro and can’t wait for trailhead to connect to town. People friendly along the way. 63 mile trail well worth the drive from NJ. Pennsylvania does a great job with all their trails.

Pine Creek Rail Trail

love this trail

First time riding this. Very well maintained trail, people are friendly and know trail etiquette! Well done on maintaining this trail! The only downside, it’s 2 hrs from my house, but I will Explorer every inch of it on weekends!

Lackawanna Rail Trail

Pretty views but noisy

May, 2020 by lynncwilliams

Bring ear buds for music or podcast. Runs along interstate 86. Very noisy. Biking mostly.

Keuka Outlet Trail

Great Mix of Industry and Nature

May, 2020 by laurenhinish

The trail was great! We went in the beginning of spring so the trees were just budding, which gave us tons of sun. Probably a bit more shady in the summer. The water is a really pretty light green blue color. And the remnants of the old mills are awesome.

Pine Creek Rail Trail

Lackawanna Rail Trail

Great trail to run on

November, 2019 by roblyerandrew

Great trail for running. I use this trail often to help complete workouts and long runs. Always nice to avoid traffic and have a beautiful view along the way. Trail includes having ability to start in multiple locations.

Railroad Grade Trail (Ives Run )

Beautiful!

October, 2019 by liznancyschoonover

Nice scenic views. Little rocky in some places, but very enjoyable biking

Lackawanna Rail Trail

Very smooth

September, 2019 by sturdy

My wife and I biked this trail with ease, noisy due to proximity to RT 86 but loved it. Ends near a Wegmans so you can get a drink or snack. The ride back to Lowman is very easy as it is downhill, but you don't notice the uphill ride hardly at all.
