Gordons Pond Trail

Great Scenic Ride

October, 2021 by rideforever

I loved this ride. It is a great, well maintained trail.

It is a bit of a ride from our place in Selbyville, but it is well worth the trip to to ride the trails in the Rehoboth-Lewes area and avoid the aggressive drivers in our area.

I did modify the ride a bit. I started at the beginning of the Breakwater Junction trail and rode to Lewes. I did have to ride on the road for a short distance to get over the Rehoboth-Lewes Canal to get to Cape Henlopen State Park.

If you want a longer ride, you can connect with the Lewes Georgetown rail trail. I does not go all the way to Georgetown yet, but it will be a nice long ride when it is finished.

Junction & Breakwater Trail

loved it!

October, 2021 by hepdj

This trail is really beautiful. It’s hard to believe you leave the outlet mall and 30 seconds you’re on this beautiful secluded trail! Very well maintained. It was 3.8 miles from the Tanger outlet detour entrance to Lewes.

Wonderful ride. Follow the pipeline in between the 1st section. You ride on grass for a bit, and then you come to the 2nd trail head. People were friendly. I rode on a Saturday, and was surprised that it wasn't crowded. Easy trail

Great walking and biking trail in the woods

July, 2021 by amassa86

This is a great trail to walk or run. Biking is fun too to cover longer distances, but it is ideal for walking. Not sure why they mention asphalt and the ability to in-line skate as there’s basically no way to do it since the surface is not paved - a mix of stone, sand and pine needle leaves. The trail has beautiful scenery of the local pine trees and is well shaded! I remember the old trail - what an upgrade this is. Lots of room and space!

Not much to see. Narrow path.that runs thru Runnemede. Parking lot at end of trail has signs regarding towing unless restaurant patron. No shade, walk is completely in the sun.

I am discovering the beauty of NJ. This trail offers lots of shade while walking so you can still probably enjoy it on a hot summer day.

This is awesome! I start at the very beginning at route 109 in Cape May and go all the way up to where the back entrance of the county park is. GREAT workout and so peaceful!

Georgetown-Lewes Trail

my absolute favorite

One of the highlights of vacationing is Lewes is riding this trail. Well maintained and marked, and people are very friendly. Many residents along the trail have decorated entrances which my 10yo enjoys looking for/at while we ride

Barnegat Branch Trail

Electric mobility not allowed

June, 2021 by dqzjjqjzxj

FYI I was stopped along this trail by a ranger and was told no electric vehicles on the trail and was told to take the road. I’m always very very respectable to everyone I pass along the trails. This is very disappointing as I was using this trail to stay off the main road and wanted to go see the light house.
