Springville Pop Warner Rail Trail

Thank you for opening up for Snowmobiles

January, 2024 by klingensmith716

Utilized the trail for first time on my snowmobile. I am very grateful for the cooperation between the rails to trails group and local snowmobile clubs who I was told funded and built the nice new bridge decking over the old rail bridges? If I am wrong, then I apologize. Just want to say to my fellow snowmobile riders to please be respectful about others who use the trails to hike and ski etc.

Springville Pop Warner Rail Trail

I love this trail!

I ride this trail quite frequently, and it is well maintained; however, the trail could very well benefit from the addition of one or three benches.

Knox & Kane Rail Trail

Beautiful trail

September, 2023 by karendarling88

We rode from the Kinzua Bridge State Park to Lantz Corners. It was a very hot day but the trail is mostly shaded. It is smooth and in great condition. We very much enjoyed it. We will be back.

Allegheny National Forest - Brush Hollow XC Ski Trail

Walking Along the trail.

August, 2023 by jenntek

Went on a hike with a couple friends.
Nice and peaceful.
Lots of Birch, Beech, Maple, Hemlock trees, and I'm sure others.
It was mostly those listed tho.
There were a few trees down from windy weather.
You'll have to climb over/under or go around.
Big Mill Creek is nice, and so is the little run that flows into it.
We didn't hear very many birds, and didn't see any deer or anything.
Maybe next time.
We took most of the trails;
Spent all morning and early afternoon there exploring.
We found the brick spring house, pretty neat.

Pat McGee Trail

Enjoyable trail, mostly grassy. Can be fairly muddy if it has rained recently

August, 2023 by fxgw8kmbm9

We started near the north end of the trail, which tends to be the muddiest if wet. Parking was not easy to find, I couldn’t find an address, and instead headed for a church camp near the trail. The trail head sign is not out at the roadway, instead it is at the beginning of the trail, facing so that it is not readily visible from the road. There is a small parking lot across the street, but it is not named for the Pat McGee trail. If you see a sign dedicated to Keith T. Young, you have found the trail and parking. We had a period of heavy rain the night before, and this end of the trail was particularly slippery. The rest of the trail was dryer. There was a community pool that allowed us to use the restrooms and we ate lunch at their pavilion. All in all, a nice trail.

Kinzua Creek Trail

Red Bridge to Westline was a great bike trail…beyond Westline the trail was in poor condition to the covered bridge and beyond…better to use the road back to Westline rather than the trail.

Knox & Kane Rail Trail

Kane to Kane Russell Road

August, 2023 by vicki1960

Started in Kane at the former train station on Route 6 across the street from the County fair. Trail is crushed limestone. One direction takes you 3 miles to the Kane County Club, along side of Route 6. The other direction, the one we took, travels approx 9 miles to the Kane Russell Road via Lamont. We saw one mile marker, mile marker 50. The trail goes through farmlands and the Allegheny National Forest.

Mt Jewett to Kinzua Skywalk-July, 2023

July, 2023 by vicki1960

Pennsylvania's Trail of the Year 2023. This trail section is 7.5 miles in length and surface of crushed limestone. Mile markers 66 to 73.5. We parked in Mt. Jewett. There are very small signs along Route 6. The best way to find the parking lot is to turn at the Mt. Jewett post office. Parking lot is a block away behind the post office. We biked from Mt. Jewett to Kinzua Bridge State Park at the Kinzua Skywalk. The viaduct was damaged by a tornado on July 21, 2003. Beautiful views from the Skywalk. There is also a visitor Center at the Skywalk. Once back in Mt. Jewett we rode to the other end of the trail to Lantz Corners. Trail goes through mainly wooded areas and a few farmland fields. Mostly shaded in the summer! For reference, Lantz Corners is mile marker 66. Mt. Jewett is at mile marker 70 and the Kinzua Viaduct is mile marker 73.5.

Kinzua Bridge Skywalk

Always great to visit the Skywalk

July, 2023 by vicki1960

Summer 2023. We parked in Mt. Jewett and rode our bikes 3.8 miles on the Knox Kane Trail. Trail was recently named Pennsylvania's Trail of the Year 2023. The trail goes through a scenic wooded area and is crushed limestone. No bicycles are allowed out on the Skywalk, there is a bike rack at the beginning of the walk. The walkway is handicapped accessible and is 1/4 mile in length. Sometimes can be windy. Visitors center offers a gift shop, historical information and restrooms. This State Park first opened in 1970. The Viaduct was severely damaged by a tornado on July 21, 2003.

Incorrect Trail Description

We did not see any asphalt. This trail is not for biking or on line skating. It is all grass and there is no parking except on the road.

Genesee Valley Greenway

Horrible trail

July, 2023 by shanpanaro

Wear deep woods bug repellent got attacked by deer flies and mosquitos, everything was overgrown, nothing to see.

West Creek Recreational Trail

Grass is growing through the gravel between Emporium and Little Red Barn Farm. Emporium Chamber says trail will be sprayed later in June. Trail could use additional gravel. Lots of wildlife along the trail.
