Enola Low Grade Trail

Superb flat Trail with amazing views of the Susquehanna River

August, 2025 by paulruns7777

This was the second time I visited this trail. But the change in parking location from Quarryville the first time to Red Hill Road in Pequa this time made all the difference. From the that trailhead, you can choose what direction you’d like to enjoy the trail. But I would highly recommend going west towards the Martic Forge Trestle and the beginning of the spectacular views of the Susquehanna to River

cumberland to little orleans

August, 2025 by aldo_desalvo

there are some really old bridges that go over the C&O. the highlight is the paw paw tunnel. better to walk through it. once you hit little orleans, i suggest going on the western maryland trail. it is fully paved and nice.

Conestoga Greenway Trail

Not much to say

August, 2025 by tnbpptw5x7

It’s a simple riverside greenway. It’s a little hillier than I expected for a riverside trail, but it’s in good shape and not too hard to ride. Most of the river view is blocked by shrubbery, but you can still see it, and it’s pretty nice. The trail was a bit crowded on a Monday evening.

Farmingdale Trail

Not in great shape—mostly

August, 2025 by tnbpptw5x7

I’m giving this an extra star because of the eastern extension; the eastern extension is in great shape and fun to ride. However, the western mainline is not in good shape. Many spots had dense stones where I spun my wheels. The main parking lot is closed until November, and there’s a section of trail covered in orange construction material. I suppose it would be a nice walk, but it really wasn’t a great ride.

Lancaster Junction Trail

Small but mighty

August, 2025 by tnbpptw5x7

Very reminiscent of other longer rail-trails. A little rough in spots.

Hanover Trolley Trail

So excited for the expansion coming.

August, 2025 by karinawentz2

I love going on this trail when riding my bike to work. It's so nice to ride without cars being beside you. When going out early you can see all kinds of wildlife out.

B&A Trail

Surprisingly Beautiful

August, 2025 by mehran.bayram

Even though the trail is in an urban setting it is surprisingly lush and beautiful. There is actually a marsh land half way that is a gorgeous place to rest and take some photos. The trail is smooth and pretty flat. Nice enjoyable easy ride.

Northwest Lancaster County River Trail

cool ride

July, 2025 by alewisa333

We have ridden this trail a few times & forgot to leave a review. It is amazing, nice curves/ paved well , goes along river, good signage. Won’t be disappointed. We had e-bikes & cruised along.

Kent Island South Trail

Kent Island South Trail

July, 2025 by carrollball99

I started riding this trail in 2018 and rode it 3-5 times a summer. It was a great trail that allowed you to get 12 miles in before riding the Cross Island Trail just 3 miles away. The tree roots have been bulging the asphalt for the past 7 years and now it is so bad I don't know if I will ride it again. For the first 1-2 miles from the start of either end the roots have the asphalt bulged up over two inches. Even riding with a suspension seat post the trail jars your spine unless you are standing on the foot pegs. Since the roots are so numerous this means you would be on the pegs 50 percent of the time. With the financial state that Maryland is in I doubt this trail will be repaired any time in the foreseeable future.

Mount Airy Rails to Trails

Great but short

July, 2025 by prhelt

The western end is paved and is a nice as any rail trail anywhere. Just short. The eastern end has a boardwalk section and then drops you on a gravel section. The gravel is a little big for my liking. I was on a road bike riding 30s but did fine. This section goes through a cut in the mountain made to get the railroad a level grade.

Jones Falls Trail

Disappointing Trail

July, 2025 by jims216

I kept hearing how beautiful this "trail" was. Most of the "trail" was city streets even before you get in to Baltimore. It was also poorly marked. Keep a GPS handy, or just give up on the trail and ride through whatever Baltimore streets you feel like riding.

It does take you past the Baltimore Zoo which was nice. It also takes you right in to Inner Harbor which is also a good place to hang out for a bit.

Lancaster Junction Trail

Nice, Short Trail

July, 2025 by jims216

If you're looking for a nice, short trail, this is excellent. It's shaded and well maintained. Most people are friendly and polite. You can only park at one end.
