Not a bad trail. Pleasantly paved with few bumps. Parked at the trailhead near Molly’s restaurant, rode to Mayer and back to the 6 mile marsh for a cooldown before rain hit. The standout was the chef owned restaurant adjacent to the trail and their outstanding crafted menu using fresh local ingredients. A pleasant surprise that makes bike touring such a joy. The area felt safe and family friendly.
I grew up in Plymouth with the Luce line behind my house. When I was little, I still remember the trains going by and in middle school we’d run down the tracks to the trestle on Gleason Lake and go fishing or jump off into the lake. I remember when they pulled the tracks up and turned it into this walking path. There were still gravel pits on the opposite side and now it’s all townhomes. This trail has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My office now sits on the trail on the other side of Parker’s lake. I live in southern Wright County, and I can access the loose line trail 9 miles to south. It’s a great trail. It’s quiet well maintained and it’s like walking through the woods.
A fantastic trail from the St Cloud State campus all the way to and through Clearwater. Very smooth from St Cloud, a little rough on the way into Clearwater. Much longer than expected.
We’re back! This is one of our faves … smooth and level trail thru the woods, beautiful neighborhoods and stunning lake views! We’ll be back again.
We rode part of it and found asphalt surface in good condition. A few places near town had some bumps but most of the surface was smooth. Trail was well marked with signs and where it crossed a road had signs to warn drivers. There were some walkers on the trail but at the time we rode it wasn’t crowded at all. I wish we had time to ride more of it. Most of the tail we were on was adjacent to streets but they were low traffic so it wasn’t noisy and was very pleasant riding conditions some spots had very nice view of the lake.
The Rocori Trail begins just east of Richmond as an extension of the Glacial Lakes Trail that trailheads in Willmar, Mn. Rocori takes you up to Cold Spring and a beautiful park and bridge over a roaring river up to Rockville, Mn a small town where the trail dead ends as you can see the rusty old railroad tracks going off into the woods. That's the end of the trail, baby. BUT, as small as Rockville is there is a wonderful bar and eatery called Stoney's Garage. Makes finding the end of the trail a delight.
Cuts through farmland MN from Elrosa MN to just south of New Munich MN where it stops, "bike purpose" dead, and goes the remainder to New Munich as a snowmobile trail. The crushed limestone is pretty nice, much better than bumpy asphalt on many trails. But. the trail is straight for the most part, no trees along the way, pure railroad scenery where the railroad could have cared less. Do it once, RT Elrosa to the terminus and back again is 20 miles. Wear sunscreen on a sunny day. Greenwald has a picnic table in the shade, and there's a bar up the street

Beautifully paved bike trail over the waters and thru the woods. We rode from St. Bonafacious to Wayzata and back. Very smooth and cool morning ride. This trail is very popular as we met up with numerous walkers and bikers alike. Highly recommend especially if you’re a beginner or a fan of a level trail without hills.
Trail from Clearwater goes approx 11 miles all paved some new in 2025. Saw horses, deer, rabbits
Bring your first aid kit in case you wipe out. Many areas of loose gravel where holes and cracks were filled. This segment one way is 3.0 miles from Milan to The boat landing at Lac qui Parle. There’s a gradual downward slope from Milan to the lake.
