Absolutely loved this trail. I dumped in by the zoo and road up to the college. I had a blast. Will be back to ride again soon.

Best Ride in Charleston

May, 2021 by normanbowers

Trail is on the south side of the bridge well separated from traffic with a low concrete wall. The views of Charleston and the harbor are well worth the gradual climb to the center of the bridge. Safe parking and modern restrooms are available at the Mount Pleasant Visitors Center in the park at the east end of the bridge. You can extend the ride by riding the sidewalk and streets south to the South Carolina Aquarium and Ft. Sumter visitors center, just stay with the streets closest to the harbor to minimize traffic.

Obstacles are tree roots and mudholes. In wet weather the mudholes are world class.

Alston Trailhead - Taking me back to Nature!

May, 2021 by bdowlin1_tl

I absolutely love the trail. Mile by mile it is an escape from my busy life. I enjoy spotting birds, including large birds like owls, herons and hawks. Watching turtles on crowded logs while the otters swim and play. And if you like snakes watch closely and you will occasionally find them sunning alongside the trail. I’ve invested in rain gear just so I can see the forest come to life with small streams and waterfalls leading to the busy creeks and feeding the river. And so much more to see!

Three Rivers Greenway

Beautiful trail

May, 2021 by rebecca.johnson7

Took my dog and we had a blast. It was so peaceful and serene. There are markers with information on them about the land which was interesting to read. It’s paved all the way through the trail we went on which was nice. Definitely will go back!

Spanish Moss Trail

Great ride

April, 2021 by julie222

This trail is a must when in Beaufort SC. It’s wide and paved and scenic.

Grissom Parkway Trail

Busy City Path

April, 2021 by ddjaquet

We rode the entire length of this path (more of a wide sidewalk) along Grissom Parkway. The north section between 48th Ave and route 510 is pretty busy with many roads, intersections, and business driveways to maneuver. From route 510 south to the Harrelson Trail is nice and not as congested. The Perrin's Path extension to the north, from 48th Ave is nice and quiet, being a more traditional paved dedicated bike path, but not very long. The Harrelson Trail connection on the South end is a good way to adds miles to your ride. We appreciate the availability of this option, but not the easiest ride you'll find. You really need to be alert for cars.

Harrelson Trail

Pleasant Ride

April, 2021 by ddjaquet

This trail is paved and wide. Some traffic to deal with, but not bad. We rode the eastern section between Grissom Parkway and Kings Highway as an extension of our ride on the Grissom Parkway Trail. An interesting ride along the airport on the South side and the golf course on the North side.

Waccamaw Neck Bikeway

Pleasant Ride

April, 2021 by ddjaquet

Just a note to affirm that previous reviews are still valid. The ride thru the forest part was very pleasant. Parked at Morse Park (maybe?), at a boat launch site; a little unclear to me. The first part of the north end runs along business route 17 until you reach the woods part. At one point, had to turn around and go back because the path went right and we went left. Had lunch in Litchfield and then returned. Very nice trip for the casual rider.

NA Greenway partially closed

April, 2021 by ezxvpj9ea2

Beautiful trail for all ages of cyclists. Started at Bergen trailhead, but trail was closed at Cypress Road, so we had to turn around. Workers said they will be closing it all the way north to the bridge. Not sure how long work will take.
