While my daughter was riding her horse across a bridge on 3/21/25 (from Millington to otter lake) the horse's leg went thru one of the boards on the bridge. It appeared that the boards had recently been replaced as there were pieces of cut boards in the creek bed below. Just wanted to let someone know before someone else falls thru and they or their horse gets injured. I'm sorry I don't know which bridge specifically, but like I said it was located between Millington and otter lake. Wasn't sure how else to contact anyone to report it (feel free to delete after whomever needa to know is told)
So far this is my favorite trail, 21 miles round trip and super nice trail
Nicely maintained trail with benches along the way. Lots of geocaches along this trail too.
Did this trail for the first time today. Very nice, but short. We started from the parking lot of Ray's Bike Shop. Out to the end of the trail and back to Ray's was just under 13 miles.
My wife and myself enjoyed this trail so much. Very smooth and well maintained trail.
Great ride by lakes and through the woods. A few hills and beautiful scenery. You might even see some horses out grazing.
Have seen many hunters along this trail. It adjoins a lot of private property where people hunt and discharge firearms. I would strongly suggest you stay only on the asphalt trail and do not venture off it. It is very nice though.
This is one of my local trails so I know the route, but I can see how a new rider would get lost because it isn’t marked well at all. I like to park at the trailhead on Young’s Ditch over by Meijer and ride the city loop, then I take the trail up to the state park to ride the trails through the marsh. It totals roughly 30 miles since the trail up to the State Park is an out-and-back trail. Im giving it 3 stars for the public since it isn’t marked well, but I would personally give it 5 stars since I know the route…
Enjoyed a peaceful walk and plenty of wildlife viewing
Travelled the southern section to the trail head near the big bridge. Beautiful scenery to include birds, squirrels, snakes, and the Saginaw River. Flat, smooth and quite nice Trail surface. Will definitely return to checkout the northern section of the trail.¿
