Fred Meijer Berry Junction Trail

Excellent Trail

July, 2022 by gzymmb1

Rode this nice trail from N. Muskegon, then connected onto the Hart-Montague Trail, and ended up in Hart. Both trails are smooth, slightly hilly in spots, and nice diverse in that you ride through both forest and small towns. If we lived closer, we would ride these two frequently.

Kal-Haven Trail Sesquicentennial State Park

Great for running!

July, 2022 by eventidebl

I ran this trail last summer and I have thought of it every day since. It is literally the nicest most beautiful perfect trail to run. The only way it could have been better is if half the water pumps weren't out of order.

Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park

Loved this trail!

July, 2022 by mpreininger61

Only did the section from Grand Rapids to Rockford but absolutely loved it! A little busy but it was a holiday weekend and all were courteous. Would do this again in a heartbeat - especially since Rockford offered eateries, shopping and bucolic scenery by the river. We’ll be back!!

Really pretty ride. We’d do it again. Only problem was that the trail wasn’t marked well and we had to ask directions - and still ended up off the trail.

Fred Meijer Heartland Trail

not our favorite

We only did a few miles of this trail today starting from Greenville. Didn’t like being in the country roads. And we went through a short section that had the foulest odor we’ve ever smelled. Won’t be finishing this one.

DON'T SKATE

God, it was AWFUL. Just bad. Too many complaints. DEFINITELY not a place for beginners, and certainly not a place to get away from people. I hated it. There are SO MANY trails to rollerblade/skate, and this place gets a 0/10!

Know before you roll

There are some small sections that are paved and some that are gravel. Others are grass and you feel like you are riding through someones yard.

Rutty and unkept

Beautiful areas but the trail is unsafe or nonexistant in some areas. Currently only sutiable for MTB travel.

Fall 2020 trail was smooth. 6/11/2022 trail has deteriorated significantly. Sadly lots of cracks, bumps, worn asphalt and loose gravel.Still amazing ride with beautiful scenery and pleasantly uncrowded.

Beautiful scenery and surface

This was the best bike trail we have ridden. Tree-lined, beautiful and smooth almost bump-free surface. All road or driveway crossing are very well marked with long stretches in-between.

Vermontville to Nashville - TERRIBLE!

May, 2022 by kevin.f.leininger

Trailhead start of the trail in vermontville is a rough area of town with no parking. Next 'parking' on the map was Maple Valley High School, and the trail between there and Nashville is unrideable. It's not maintained, low branches, ruts, sticks, and at points branches completely block the path. We rode on the paved road instead... Hopefully this trail is much nicer in other segments.
