Lovely area to walk your dog, or go to see pretty overlooks, wildlife and just submerse yourself in peaceful settings. Great place for photography as well. There’s one straight trail and many trails that loop around and off that main trail. It’s well maintained and groomed.
Gorgeous views of the river, wildlife and easy going trails, though some can be a little bit wet so bring some waterproof boots!
You don't send a lot of time in a nature setting with this trail, with the first three or so mile south of Hillsdale being alongside a busy road and pretty rough pavement to boot, and with the last three odd miles being dirt, you might want to skip this trial completely. Falling Waters Trail is short distance driving away, so try that one instead.
Just found this trail by accident. It’s s just a beautiful, peaceful trail that I can enjoy on my bike ride without worrying about car traffic . The country within the city. This will be one of my favorites for sure.
This is a pretty hilly trail with few stretches of flat, level terrain.
IT's an okay trail, but as it's so short, it's only real use is to connect to the Detroit Riverwalk, otherwise skip it.
It's sunny, wide and open, a good round trip, and has a great view of Lake Erie. The northern portion by Carlson High School is pretty rough but evens out quickly.
It's a mostly shady trail, with a few moments of sunshine to be found. The trail becomes very narrow and twisty south of m59, so be careful in this section.
Sad to say it's been over a year, and the best section of this trail is still closed. It was a great connection to the Macomb Orchard Trail. Any info on a fix would be greatly appreciated. Would like to help out in any way possible.
Detour route has heavy traffic.
Very enjoyable ride from Whitmore Lake to Pinckney. Some of the nicest scenery in the area. Can’t wait to go again.
