Falling Waters Trail

excellent trail

October, 2026 by barbodonn

My husband and I biked this trail from Jackson to Concord today. It was a gorgeous fall day. The trail was beautiful with the falling leaves and smooth pavement. We loved the many sculptures as we headed out of Jackson. We live in Toledo and plan on coming back even though the trail was almost an hour and a half away. Well worth it!

Lohr-Textile Greenway

Beautiful Paced and Clean!

September, 2026 by parkersmom6

This trail was beautiful especially for a fall ride. Everything is paved with a couple bumps far and few in between. There is plenty of areas you can veer off and explore. You can start near Platt Road and end in downtown Saline for lunch, a drink or take Maple Rd straight to the Dairy Queen for Ice cream! Everyone you come across is considerate nice and the entire trail is very safe!

Slippery Elm Trail

Newly Repaved-Rural Farmlands Scenery

September, 2026 by vicki1960

September, 2026. This trail was built in 1995 and just this past August, completely repaved for the first time. Super smooth surface! Also new bollards and painted markers at road crossings. The benches are in the process of being returned since they poured new cement pads. Scenery is open farmlands, crops as far as the eye can see! There are a few very short trail sections that offer shade. Well maintained by Wood County parks division, we even saw them working the day we were there. I wouldn't call this trail isolated by any means, just a rural countryside area. Some of the trails in Pennsylvania are isolated as they run through wooded forests in the middle of nowhere. If something would happen to you, you wouldn't be found until hunting season! This trail is just very quiet except for the road crossings and those aren't even very busy. As far as trail services at each end, a few places to eat near the trail in Bowling Green and at the Southern end in North Baltimore, we found nothing.

Border-to-Border Trail

Very Dirty and lacked markings

September, 2026 by parkersmom6

I expected a lot more. The trails were not marked on how to connect to the other segments. The trail path was a rough ride in multiple areas. A couple of the trails were people’s residence. The trail was not cleaned and had a lot of trash.

Martin Luther King Equality Trail

The MLK trail has been redone and is a great place to start off of West Ave. if you want to extend the Falling Waters Trail. So nice now. Makes trails about 15 miles one way. Such a peaceful scenic ride.

Three of us rode this trail in 4 out and back rides. There are several waypoints along the way where I met my companions over several rides. Very smooth and easy riding since it's a rail trail and is well maintained by Pinckney Recreation area.

Chessie Circle Trail

Love this trail!

August, 2026 by barbodonn

I pick up this trail by riding in the new bike lane on Tremainsville Rd. and picking up the Chessie Circle close to Start High School. The path is all paved and very smooth. Yes it does have quite a few streets to cross but they are very navigable. It travels through residential areas mostly. I usually bike to the University of Toledo and then around Ottawa Park (on a multi-use trail) until I get back to Kenwood and bike through the Old Orchard neighborhood. Then I reverse to get back home. This is my go to trail when I want to bike from home. Love it!!

Baw Beese Trail

terrible trail

August, 2026 by lcoleman4

This trail is so rough you have to put all your attention to controlling your bike and can’t look around. The part through the town of Hillsdale is on city streets and poorly marked. Don’t waste your time on this trail

North Coast Inland Trail (Sandusky and Ottawa Counties)

Great, easy ride

Awesome trail for a nice easy ride, very little elevation, good pavement, good scenery, kind of nice going through Clyde and other areas.

Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park

pickney trailhead

June, 2026 by koerber.anamami

Parked in pickney. Turn left vs right. Stopped so much going right. Left had a few crossroads woth major traffic then it went to a park, but also gravel. Still was nice. Just prefer trails that aren’t stop and go. Decent shade coverage.

I-275 Metro Trail

Trail closure

June, 2026 by egrif

The trail is closed in the construction zone of M14. I found my way back onto the trail north after taking a couple sideroads from Hines and Northville roads. The trail from here is pretty crappy but serviceable until 8 Mile, where it has been redone. Smooth ride from 8 Mile north.

Border-to-Border Trail

The part that's open is nice but it is closed from Dexter to Dexter-Huron Metropark.
