From Owosso to Ionia it’s a great riding trail. Love the mix of shade, sun, wild life. The small towns along the way offer pit stops (Trail heads) for food, water and restrooms. Very surprised it’s not busier, also kinda glad! More connections to come to other trails will be added bonus.

Baw Beese Trail

Short ride

Only ride thru the park/lake area. If you leave the park it’s all sidewalks and main streets. The lake is beautiful to look at but that’s about it!!

Border-to-Border Trail

lovely

Excellent and easy to access through Hudson mills metro park; poor signage through Dexter. The portion that is marked is fabulous.

Falling Waters Trail

Thank you from a Walled Laker

August, 2021 by npapadakos

We get there and like one reviewer said, a lady told us not to go one way it’s a little dangerous. Jackson needs to fix that. Sad this day and age we still have places in America tha are unsafe to be even in the middle of the day. So instead we went towards Spring Arbor and Concord. Swam at Lime Lake. Beautiful. Not very good markings telling us where to go but nice people willing to point the way. Shout out to Cadet Tavern in Concord. You were the only place open on a Sunday. One review mentioned a place to eat and it was closed. Everything was. So if you’re riding on a Sunday and want to eat, Cadet Tavern is the place to go. And it was good!

Border-to-Border Trail

border to border trail

This trail would be so much nicer but need mowed on the sides, better signs and trail markers. We are from Pennsylvania and it was nice to see the river and would have loved to see the rowing team practicing hence our neighbor is a rowing coach. Will or would we come back to this trail…..not anytime soon….

Falling Waters Trail

Great trail!

I rode this trail today and it was amazing! It’s flat which made for an easy ride. Beautiful lakes as well as corn fields. Plenty of shade too.

Portland Riverwalk

Wonderful Trail

Came over from Olivet to ride this trail. It was perfect! We weren’t able to do the whole trail but we thoroughly enjoyed what we did cover. We road into the quaint town of downtown Portland and stopped at the Chocolate Moose for their delicious homemade ice cream!

Kensington Metropark Trail

Great park!

August, 2021 by ns2cnvtw6j

I was searching fir a new park fir a change of scenery and thought I’d give this one a try for road biking. The trails are paved and well maintained. I had no idea there was so much to do here: Golfing, disc golfing, beaches, fishing, paddle boats, water park, hiking, etc. I went in a beautiful Sunday and it wasn’t even that crowded. Plenty of parking. I was surprised to find the farm area that offers hay rides and farm animals to pet. There’s also a restaurant by the farm and a few snack bars scattered around. The only negative was the conditions of the restrooms (specifically by the paddle boat rental area). They were filthy.

Paul Henry-Thornapple Trail

terrible “trail “!

July, 2021 by jplaweck

We visited GR for a bike vacation and the trail from Kentwood going south for at least the first 5 miles was the very worst bike trail we’ve ever experienced anywhere! Terribly maintained, poorly signed, narrow and bumpy! Plus a long stint right next to a very loud interstate! I mean right next to it!! We found the trail so unenjoyable that we rerouted ourselves back to our car off the trail after only 5 miles! With so many other great bike trails in the area, don’t waste your time on this one!!!Truly brutal!!
