This trail is newly completed so the blacktop surface is pristine for wheels! It passes through developed areas and wetlands. There's no shade between Wixom Rd and Haggerty Rd, so go when it's cooler outside. The trail has an entrance to Gunnar Mettala park in Wixom and there are bathrooms there.
The trail crosses some roads and, where appropriate, has crossing signals. There's a bridge over M-5, but as of July 2020, Google Maps doesn't know about it, so it will reroute you on busy streets to get across M-5. Ignore the reroute; the trail is clear.
As the description states, the trail is a great connector between the Huron Valley Trail and the West Bloomfield Trail. Many people have eagerly awaited for years for that!
As of July 2020, there is an installation of the Detroit Institute of Art's "Inside Out", with 4 reproductions of prints found in the DIA displayed right on the path (they are spread out; you'll need wheels to see them all). I believe this will last during the summer months but not sure.
I live in Hamburg, right off this trail. We've watched it develop over the last 20 years and it is such a gem! So many people still don't even know this is here. It gets maintained very consistently. (Even in wintet) We feel so lucky to be so close!
We had pleasant biking experience here. It is good for mild exercise and you can observe good nature and houses around you.
I started at Milford Rd heading towards Milford. The trail is more closed than not, with heavy equipment in use at several locations. I turned back where the trail crosses GM Road, so I don't know about the north part of the trail.
This is one of my favorite trails to do a quick speedy bike ride or run. Very private usually only a handful of people walking. Connects to The botanical gardens trails at the end. Very smooth trail and lots of curves
I have ridden this trail a couple days in a row now. It’s very smooth and the scenery is varied enough to keep your interest. There is a small section at 9 mile that you have to make a little jog, but it’s more than passable. There is a pavilion at ITC Park with bathrooms and shade for those hot days. All rider abilities can do this trail because it’s very flat.
My husband and I went bike riding on this section of trail on July 4th 2020. Very nice, has shady areas and we did not have any issues with bugs though we did go early. Are horses allowed on this section of the trail as I ride on the section from Stockbridge to Gregory but the Hawkins staging is closer for me.
This is a nice trail enough for people to pass each other. It is mostly flat road have a few hills very smooth
July2, 2020. ITC Corridor Trail is blocked 1 mile north of the start at 8 Mile Road. New subdivision development. It may months before the trail is opened up again.
Nice trail for a relaxing bike ride with family. All paved with little interaction with traffic/roads. Most runs through trees and woods along river.
This trail is great for road cycling. It is clean and not congested. It is an easy ride with nice coverage, so the sun doesn't beat down on you for the entire ride. Nice when you just want to get up and get a solid ride in.
Nice views from the shore, to be sure, and ample vantage points to landmarks. The narrowness and congestion of foot traffic make it too busy and impractical for bicycling but better for walking.
