Musketawa Trail

Muskegon county section

The section of trail from Ravenna to the west in rough shape and needs resurfacing like the Ottawa section is currently getting. Large cracks that make a ride not very enjoyable

Butterworth Trail

Not much to see on this circle trail. At the time of this review the offshoot to Oxford is closed and under construction. Part of the trail is a glorified sidewalk.

Fred Meijer Kenowa Trail

Road Trail Only

If you're looking for a nature trail, this isn't it.

You'll only see endless cornfields until you get to Spring Grove Park, where neighborhoods take over.

This is also a pretty hilly all throughout, with some road biking required if you're doing the full trail.

Rode from belding to Greenville. Really nice and scenic ride. About 7 miles one way.

Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park

Awesome trail

We have now rode nearly every section of the trail several times and highly recommend it. My favorite parts are from Ashton to Cadillac and from Cedar Rapids to Grand Rapids.

William Field Memorial Hart-Montague Trail State Park

Highly Recommend

This is an excellent trail, great signage, benches, picnic tables, bathrooms, food stops along the way and beautiful views. The tree identifications are wonderful. Highly recommend. The trail is in excellent condition.

Pere Marquette State Trail

almost every section

We live nearby in Idlewild and have rode nearly every section of this trail except from Chase to Reed City. We enjoyed most all of it except from Reed City to Evart. The path is very bumpy and the scenery is not great.

Muskegon Lakeshore Trail

Truly disappointed

October, 2025 by annette.stallworth.parker

I drove quite a way to have difficulty finding parking, and signage. We chose the path because of the miles thinking we could get a good exercise but never saw half of the trail because we were lost. No very good pretty either.

Musketawa Trail

trash

This trail caused me to actually fall into a sink hole and brake through the cement . It has holes, huge cracks, unseen and discovered sink holes, horse crap randomly left around. It would be a beautiful path and was at one point but horse back and snowmobile riders have trashed it. And there was literally no maintenance kept on it.

Kent Trails

Good, but with flaws

October, 2025 by clonetrooper5373

The northern half is mostly shadey nature with a round trip of 12 miles, and the southern half is a bit more rough, as it's a mix of urban and nature with a round trip of 30 miles, from a grand total of 42/43.

You might want to skip the 76th street section, as it is a road-only segment, with very fast traffic and no bike lanes/sidewalk to keep you safe.
