I'd only use it to jump onto Genesee Valley Trail myself, otherwise I'd recommend skipping it.

pickney trailhead

Parked in pickney. Turn left vs right. Stopped so much going right. Left had a few crossroads woth major traffic then it went to a park, but also gravel. Still was nice. Just prefer trails that aren’t stop and go. Decent shade coverage.

I-275 Metro Trail

Trail closure

June, 2026 by egrif

The trail is closed in the construction zone of M14. I found my way back onto the trail north after taking a couple sideroads from Hines and Northville roads. The trail from here is pretty crappy but serviceable until 8 Mile, where it has been redone. Smooth ride from 8 Mile north.

The part that's open is nice but it is closed from Dexter to Dexter-Huron Metropark.

Kensington Metropark Trail

Great trail even with closure

May, 2026 by pattie.batchman

Rode this trail on multiple rides over the Memorial Day weekend. Connected to it via the Milford trail and accessed it from two different directions to be able to complete the entire trail minus the closed section. Great views of lakes with bald eagles’ nests and white swans - along with folks fishing, riding paddle boats and enjoying the beach. Shared the trail with many bikers and walkers. Noted that many fast paced riders fail to give audible warnings when passing-which is dangerous! Great trail and look forward to riding it again in the future!!

Milford Trail

Enjoyed the Milford trail!

It was easy to find while staying at Camp Dearborn over the holiday weekend in May. Path was well maintained with adequate warning of crossroads. Shaded in various areas for a great ride. Will look forward to riding it again!

m47 will be your companion along this trail, so bring headphones.

I feel like this could have been a nice trail if it had been in a wooded area but the traffic ruins it for me.

Kochville Township Multi-Use Pathway

Iffy

May, 2026 by clonetrooper5373

It's bumpy and cracked all throughout, so it might be a little rough on your bum if you do the whole trail.

Saginaw Township Pathway

Okay

It's a nice and open trail that links with a much longer trail at the end, though it's a little bumpy and sidewalk riding may be required.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Down trees

May, 2026 by sytnsmvkbf

Rode this trail today starting at West Rd and 26 mile. Within 20 ft there was a downed tree blocking the pathway managed to get me and my bike through it. Experienced two more downed trees along my journey and did the same until I got somewhere in Armada and could not proceed any farther. This tree was too big to get through. Overall, this was a lovely 31-mile ride; I enjoyed the trail's peacefulness. Wish I could have finished the rest of the trail to Richmond but maybe next time.
