Clinton River Trail

Beautiful trail

June, 2020 by vicmarciano1

Nice trail for a relaxing bike ride with family. All paved with little interaction with traffic/roads. Most runs through trees and woods along river.

Lansing River Trail

ignore old reviews

June, 2020 by lindaturek

This trail is beautiful from start to finish, well maintained, with many different views and settings. There is urban, country, woods, river, stunning residential, etc. Recommend beginning at Benjamin Davis

Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park

is going to be popular but keep in mind the new section

June, 2020 by bcleve108

It takes a few years to “season” a crushed stone trail and regrade it. So the new section from Hawkins Rd parking lot to Stockbridge is great now but will show some degradation with rains and use. Be patient as this happens as this section is very scenic and relaxing. You get some good looks at real working farms as you ride literally right through them

Milford Trail

Short but Scenic connection to downtown Milford

June, 2020 by laurievukonich

I have used this trail many times to get from Kensington Metropark to Downtown Milford by bike. It is very pretty and not as heavily traveled as the park itself. Watch the bumps as you reach the boardwalks, and use caution with the one road crossing over GM Road—drivers tend to speed. Downtown Milford has several restaurants for eating and there is a Dairy Queen open seasonally by the Milford Road entrance to Kensington. This is a handy trail for me to get downtown on days that car traffic is likely to be excessive or if there are road closures (4th of July parades, Milford Memories art fair, etc).

Kensington Metropark Trail

Good hills, great wildlife, lots of people

June, 2020 by laurievukonich

Due to its proximity to my home, I bike this trail twice a week on average. It is very popular especially on weekends and may have a lot of traffic on it. If you are trying to ride fast, most of the trail is paralleled by the road which has a speed limit of 25-35 mph for cars. There are some good hills. Over the years I’ve seen all kinds of wildlife, including Great Blue herons, sandhill cranes, foxes, mink, coyote, muskrats, and the elusive white deer. Use caution if you are not used to traveling long distances; many people walk for 4 miles until their feet hurt, only to discover that they are on the wrong side of the lake and have a 4-mile hike back to their car. There are bathrooms scattered throughout the park and two bike repair stations as well.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Top Notch Trail

June, 2020 by f15freak

Trail surface is in very good condition.

Huron Valley Trail

A good “Point A to Point B” trail

June, 2020 by laurievukonich

I used the west and northeast legs of this trail to bike from Island Lake to Wixom—something I never could have done on the road during rush hour. It served its purpose well. Were there bumps on the trail? Yes. Patches of gravel? A couple. Still, not bad at all for a trail that parallels I-96 between a landfill and a car dealership. If you are looking for a scenic Sunday loop to do with the kids, go to Kensington. If you are looking for an environmentally friendly route out of Milford, this is the ride for you. Use extreme caution crossing Milford Road...drivers turning right from the off-ramp are looking the opposite way.

Black Creek Nature Trail

very nice.

June, 2020 by nonie.osantowski

I started with the Abernathy Trail and finished at the end of Black Creek. It was a great day for it. I will be definitely going again.

Huron Valley Trail

The worst ride at your own risk

June, 2020 by 2geeky4u

Where do I start, a decade of neglect. trail improvements that consist of some cold patch and highway barrels filling holes that would swallow a stroller. The trail now looks like the military carpet bombed it as they would an enemy runway. Now at least they spray painted the big holes ahead to warn the crazies who try to rollerblade it. ONLY RIDE IT WITH A PLUS TIRE SIZED BIKE. Any one with any hint of arthritis should stay away. It's a shame they promote it as a jewel and treat it like a piece of coal.

Wadhams to Avoca Trail

Flat, quiet, peaceful

June, 2020 by jillhoppenjans

We parked at the Avoca end and biked southeast. The parking lot had plenty of parking, picnic benches, and a toilet. We didn’t mind the limestone gravel at all. The bridge was fun to see. Lots of families visiting.

Clinton River Park Trail

Great Macomb County Trail!

June, 2020 by frankpizzo

Another great trail in Macomb County! This one has enough for everyone to enjoy. Smooth paved if you stay on them and some off road available too! Some beautiful views of the river and wildlife! This connects with another trail through Utica and Shelby Twp if you want a longer ride! An abundance of trees, shade, parks, bridges and nice river views makes this a nice little gem! Make sure it has not rained heavy for a f ew days- or trails could be flooded. I would avoid late evenings the bugs could get ruthless!evenings

Macomb Orchard Trail

good ride

June, 2020 by john.p.royston

Was there on a very nice Saturday morning - was quite busy but manageable. Trail is clean and good, crossings are fine, just use your head. Parking in Richmond can be tricky to find - follow signs for Public Parking. Good ride
