Frisco Highline Trail

Trail in great shape at least for first 15 miles from Springfield - except for closure

October, 2019 by gwilliams2013

Trail is closed due to road construction 3 miles out from Springfield until late Nov 2019. Parked at Willard Trail Head, rode South to closure, then N to mile 15 and back. Trail is paved from Springfield to 2 miles N of Willard - total of 8 miles paved. Unpaved portion at least to mile 15 was in great shape - smooth, mostly shaded but some open sections. Rolling farmland - peaceful and scenic. Riding on Tuesday afternoon - gorgeous, sunny 72 degree day, only a few bikers/walkers on the paved section, did not see anyone else on the trail for the 14 miles of unpaved section I rode. Restrooms/food/secure parking at Willard. Nice rest area with swing at Conco Quarries and benches/tables at Frisco Trail Mini Storage. City park with large pool about 1 1/2 miles N of Willard Trail Head - pool closed for season but a nice cooling off place if riding the trail in the summer.

St. Louis Riverfront Trail

Hazardous

October, 2019 by giinaringo

Several miles of this trail (just north of Laclede’s Landing) are currently inaccessible due to adjacent construction. The city has not designated any safe detour routes with signage. Even some parts of the trail that are still accessible are unsafe because the path is buried in industrial debris and gravel. It seems like the industrial neighbors treat this trail like their own personal right-of-way. Such a shame given it’s the city’s longest, contiguous off-street route.

Katy Trail State Park

9/23-26,2019

October, 2019 by elliott4

St.Charles West. Just a few detours, trail excellent. If you tent camp at Missouri Fairgrounds Sedalia, be careful of your belongings. Choose any electric site and honestly with the factory across street southeast corner away from vagrants living in tents and away from showerhouse better. Always lock your bikes too.

Katy Trail State Park

Katy trail

September, 2019 by melvinadrian55

Do to flooding the beginning of the trail is not in good shape. If you pick up the trail in St. Charles it is great from there.

Busch Greenway

12.8 mile full circle

September, 2019 by myerscreative

My wife and two older kids joined me on this one. We started at the Nuclear Waste Park which had a huge amount of free, easy parking right off 94. The Hamburg path runs through the park and we traveled north-east and connected to Busch as it went under 94. The Busch path ends at the Katy trial so we jumped on that and went west until we could jump back on the Hamburg path north back to the parking spot.

Rock Island Spur of Katy Trail State Park

Long Straight Flat Crushed Gravel

September, 2019 by joebus76

Pleasant Hill to 1 hour and back. Nice trail with normal overhead canopy debris here and there. Very smooth concrete bridges. Some short washed out sections repaired with larger loose gravel not yet compacted. Very monotonous compared to some other rail trails , but good for conversation. Averaged 13-17mph. The highlight of the day trip was the Wyoming Street Wine Stop after the ride.

Table Rock Lakeshore Trail

Family bike ride

August, 2019 by dkmaclachlan

We rode this trail with our two kids, 10 and 13. This was a Nice trail, good view, shaded, a fairly flat bike ride. There are some spots you can get in tablerock so that was a bonus.

Cape LaCroix Recreation Trail

A great chance to enjoy nature!

July, 2019 by lmgrojean1s

Flat, minimal hills, and winds throughout the city! Very pretty through wooded areas. Offers a great escape for bikers! Well-maintained. Plenty of room to pass others and even ride alongside friends.

Frisco Greenway Trail

Nice trail....start at the Crazy Llama coffee shop in Webb City

June, 2019 by hollyajones1961

Hard to find the beginning of the trail from the maps but found it started by the coffee shop! The port a potty was actually in the middle of the trail....use it because there isn’t one at the end in Joplin! Will definitely ride it again. Nice tree canopy coverage in much of the trail!

St. Vincent Greenway Trail

Not Good for Skating

June, 2019 by alextaylor8356

I would not rollerblade or skateboard on this trail. There are hills that lead into turns that force you to brake down the hill. Not great for advanced skaters without brakes on their skates. Beginner skaters SHOULD NOT use this trail. Would recommend for those looking to add hills in their long distances runs or cycling.

St. Louis Riverfront Trail

Great training spot

April, 2019 by penelope.gingivitis

I love this trail for two primary reasons:
- there's hardly anyone ever on it
- it has very long contiguous sections that are great for training on my bike.

Grant's Trail

Great trail for biking.

March, 2019 by dsburrows88

An added bonus is the trail passes by the Clydesdale stables at Grant's Farm, and I have seen the young foals come up to the fence on a couple of my rides. This is one of those bike trails that's close to everything but sometimes makes you feel like you're getting away from it all.
