Karl Stirner Arts Trail

fun trail

August, 2017 by jessh9826

My boyfriend dog and I walked this trail for the first time. I'm sure if you were riding a bike it might be too short. The bushkill runs parallel to it so there's plenty of chances to walk down to the water. I was also pleased to see a little fenced in dog park area that I could let my dog run around in and work off some energy! Over all, great trail!

Slate Heritage Trail

Trail is now open

August, 2017 by donna.witmer

After many times of having to stop short of the turnpike, we were able to go the entire length of this trail on August 13, 2017. This is a nice shaded trail with only a few small hills. There are many benches along the way to stop and rest if needed.

Unami Creek Trail

Great short trail

August, 2017 by joelkring

We rode from the small parking lot on Kumby Road, this is not a pan flat trail but the inclines are manageable. There are several feeder trails that branch off to the surrounding neighborhoods. Also, not far from the Allentown Road end of the trail is a new section of trail. Cross the bridge and climb up to Streamtown Way, the trail turns left (there are signs for the trail painted on the sidewalk) after a bend in the road at the bottom of the short downhill the trail turns left between two homes and continues. It ends just after passing a steep dirt trail on the right. The dirt trails goes out to Allentown Road. The whole ride was only 3.2 miles. The trail is scenic and well maintained but signs noting spur trails might be nice.

Barrel Run Trail

Great short trail with other trails nearby

August, 2017 by joelkring

Not far (by car) from the north end of the Perkiomen Trail or the south end of the Saucon Valley Trail are four short trails just outside of Quakertown. The Barrel Run, the Unami Creek and the Braton Garden/Hunters Crossing trails. The Barrel Run is a ride in the park, well maintained and scenic with a short hill to make it fun. If you don't mind riding on roads you could ride to the other short trails.

Hunters Crossing and Brayton Garden Trails

Great short trail with others nearby

August, 2017 by joelkring

We rode the Saucon Valley trail from Hellertown then drove south to the Hatfield area to ride the Hunters Crossing/Brayton Garden trails plus the nearby Barrel Run Trail and the Unami Creek Trail. Other than being very short this is a scenic and well maintained trail.

Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park Trail

Nice Ride, but difficult at spots

August, 2017 by georgepc

Rode the southern section from Bulls Island state park south towards Washington Crossing. About 14 miles one direction. The path is tricky at times and mostly narrow the entire length. When it is crowded as it was when we rode, you have to be careful and take it slow. If it's a fast ride you want then this is not the path to take. However it is a pleasant and scenic Ride along the Delaware. The path is all packed hard dirt and crushed gravel. I had no problems with my narrow rode bike tires.

Wood Duck Nature Trail (Wallkill River NWR)

Nice easy walk, best photos can be taken 1st half mile

August, 2017 by zenarcher63

If you want some nice swamp photos, mainly close shots, there are opportunities within the first half mile. But further onward about half way,
" heads up " literally....there's a huge dead branch up in the trees that overhangs the trail. Other than that I found it to be a nice walk, short but nice.

Susquehanna Warrior Trail

Disappointed

August, 2017 by mednat2

I will start by saying this was our second R-T of the day. I usually would not submit a review on a trail that we only rode to the half-way point, but I have to make an exception this time. This trail is very poorly maintained, little more than a single track path in sections. Dirt, grass, weeds, stones ,etc. After 5+ miles we just found no reason to continue, as it just wasn't fun. Sorry, but even one star is generous. Pa. Tandem Team

Love peace valley! Gorgeous views! It doesn't tend to get crowded & no shade across the bridge but the view totally makes up for it! Great for families & children

Columbia Trail

Heaven on earth

July, 2017 by reddyrama2000

Directions on the website are easy-to-follow and parking convenient. It's an amazing trail which started at High bridge Main Street. Track is wide enough for a car most of the time. Road was packed earth with gravel which is easy on the knees. Several bikers, people walking the dogs and two runners including me. Not too busy. Flat path with wonderful foliage and tree covered shade all the way through which was amazing. I was able to do a 9 mile run midafternoon at 84° temperature very comfortably. Scenery was breath taking. You have waterfalls bridges and the sound of running water. Did not turn my music on. Did not need to. Some farmhouses along the way which I envied. If I could do it all over again I would live here. Very well maintained. Thank you thank you. What a wonderful experience. And I have been on trails all over New Jersey. This was the best one

D & L Trail - Asher F. Boyer Trail (Slatington-Northampton)

Really Cool.

July, 2017 by jamminjr57

This trail runs from Northampton along the Lehigh River to Slatington,10 miles, then continues to Lehighton for another ten miles. there are stores in Slatington and Lehighton for water, snacks, Gatorade etc. I'm looking to ride 60 miles Sunday and this trail is probably it. I'll be double covering some of the trail. Mostly shaded. I still recommend sunscreen. Great riding.
