Metro Parkway Trail

Not a very good trail for a road bike.

Metro Parkway Trail

horrible shape

July, 2021 by mlodge43

It has gotten so bumpy with roots this last year. I live right off Metro Pkwy and would like to use this trail daily but it is so bad that I’m looking for somewhere else to ride.

Polly Ann Trail

Polly Ann Trail

Loving the connector

July, 2021 by ashmonm

I took the connector from the Paint Creek to the Polly Ann. The 2 mile connection is challenging and rewarding! I hopped on the Polly Ann at Clarkston Rd and road it north to Lapeer Rd. The seven or so miles on the Polly Ann were smooth sailing. Because it was my first time, I had to pay close attention to the signs. There are quite a few turns as well as street crossings. Beside the twisty and turns it was a good ride. I’d definitely ride the trail again and venture further north. Well maintained!

Paint Creek Trail (MI)

Great Trail

July, 2021 by mjmelancon640

This was a really good trail. Even though it was gravel it was very hard packed and smooth. It's a rail to trail so very flat. Nice scenery and good tree canopy cover. Will be very nice in the fall. There is Paint Creek Tavern at the end in Rochester and a lot of bikes were parked there. It also wouldn't be too much further to the Rochester Mills Beer Company which I've been to before and is nice. You can go all the way from the other end in Lake Orion if you aren’t biking with small kids or you can park near Dutton Road and it's much shorter. About 2 miles. Keep a look out and you can spot plenty of wildlife.

Very clean trail. It was not so busy. We stopped to have ice cream. Great way to spend Father's Day

Perfect trail

We have come back to this one many times because of the mostly flat, paved trail. It’s lovely with its tree-covered tunnels along most of the trail.

Rainy Saturday Ride

May, 2021 by ashmonm

We tried to beat the rain but didn’t make it. The trail is uphill from Rochester Hills to Lake Orion; the inclines are gradual. The ride back, even with the wind and rain against us, was fast and easy. We’ll try again.

Paved, free from debris and very scenic...definitely one of my favorite trails¿¿¿¿¿

Clinton River Trail

leaves much to be desired

May, 2021 by seamusmom2013

I rode this trail in late April, catching it at Dequindre and riding west. It was a mess. Ruts everywhere, and, worse, broken (not crushed) asphalt was placed everywhere. It made for a very difficult ride. Instead of enjoying the lovely scenery, I was forced to watch every inch of the path to avoid crashing.
