ITC Corridor Trail (Novi)

ITC Trail

July, 2020 by james p

I have ridden this trail a couple days in a row now. It’s very smooth and the scenery is varied enough to keep your interest. There is a small section at 9 mile that you have to make a little jog, but it’s more than passable. There is a pavilion at ITC Park with bathrooms and shade for those hot days. All rider abilities can do this trail because it’s very flat.

Great Trail

Hands down the nicest trail we have ridden. Nicely paved, flat, and well shaded in many areas. All 23 miles of this trail are well maintained.

Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park

from Hawkins Rd

July, 2020 by spring.stafford.7

My husband and I went bike riding on this section of trail on July 4th 2020. Very nice, has shady areas and we did not have any issues with bugs though we did go early. Are horses allowed on this section of the trail as I ride on the section from Stockbridge to Gregory but the Hawkins staging is closer for me.

Clinton River Trail

Beautiful trail

June, 2020 by vicmarciano1

Nice trail for a relaxing bike ride with family. All paved with little interaction with traffic/roads. Most runs through trees and woods along river.

Detroit RiverWalk

Nice views from the shore, to be sure, and ample vantage points to landmarks. The narrowness and congestion of foot traffic make it too busy and impractical for bicycling but better for walking.

Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park

is going to be popular but keep in mind the new section

June, 2020 by bcleve108

It takes a few years to “season” a crushed stone trail and regrade it. So the new section from Hawkins Rd parking lot to Stockbridge is great now but will show some degradation with rains and use. Be patient as this happens as this section is very scenic and relaxing. You get some good looks at real working farms as you ride literally right through them

Milford Trail

Short but Scenic connection to downtown Milford

June, 2020 by laurievukonich

I have used this trail many times to get from Kensington Metropark to Downtown Milford by bike. It is very pretty and not as heavily traveled as the park itself. Watch the bumps as you reach the boardwalks, and use caution with the one road crossing over GM Road—drivers tend to speed. Downtown Milford has several restaurants for eating and there is a Dairy Queen open seasonally by the Milford Road entrance to Kensington. This is a handy trail for me to get downtown on days that car traffic is likely to be excessive or if there are road closures (4th of July parades, Milford Memories art fair, etc).

Kensington Metropark Trail

Good hills, great wildlife, lots of people

June, 2020 by laurievukonich

Due to its proximity to my home, I bike this trail twice a week on average. It is very popular especially on weekends and may have a lot of traffic on it. If you are trying to ride fast, most of the trail is paralleled by the road which has a speed limit of 25-35 mph for cars. There are some good hills. Over the years I’ve seen all kinds of wildlife, including Great Blue herons, sandhill cranes, foxes, mink, coyote, muskrats, and the elusive white deer. Use caution if you are not used to traveling long distances; many people walk for 4 miles until their feet hurt, only to discover that they are on the wrong side of the lake and have a 4-mile hike back to their car. There are bathrooms scattered throughout the park and two bike repair stations as well.

Macomb Orchard Trail

Top Notch Trail

June, 2020 by f15freak

Trail surface is in very good condition.

Huron Valley Trail

A good “Point A to Point B” trail

June, 2020 by laurievukonich

I used the west and northeast legs of this trail to bike from Island Lake to Wixom—something I never could have done on the road during rush hour. It served its purpose well. Were there bumps on the trail? Yes. Patches of gravel? A couple. Still, not bad at all for a trail that parallels I-96 between a landfill and a car dealership. If you are looking for a scenic Sunday loop to do with the kids, go to Kensington. If you are looking for an environmentally friendly route out of Milford, this is the ride for you. Use extreme caution crossing Milford Road...drivers turning right from the off-ramp are looking the opposite way.
