Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail

Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail

I did not care for the stretch of trail from Upland-Claremont. As mentioned in a prior review-too many street crossings. I haven’t tried the Upland-Rialto route yet.

San Clemente Beach Trail

My Slice of Heaven on Earth!

December, 2017 by adbushkin

When I need serenity at heart and peace at mind, I come to this flat woven trail that hugs the coastal train tracks and has magnificent views of the Pacific shore cliffs and the vast turquoise ocean. A pure delight of a trail with restaurants and clean restrooms along the way. As you walk you'll be greeted by the toots of the Amtrack train as it wind its way past you demonstarting the power of engineering. This is definitely one of the sweetest gems in south O.C.!

Escondido Creek Bike Path

Dangerous and a most of it a Trashpit

November, 2017 by evanspurchases_gmail.com

You take your life in jeoprardy on this trail. Many street crossings, none have striping and are poorly signed. Cars will not stop, even if you are in the middle of the street.
The west end, from the Transit Center on, has a ton of trash left by the homeless. Also be careful riding under the underpasses that you don't run over someone sleeping.

Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail

Very inconvenient western end

November, 2017 by jeffowens507

If I could split this review, I would rate most of the trail, from Upland to points east, 5 stars. But the westernmost 4 miles from Upland to Claremont are terrible. The street crossings require you to leave the trail, go down to the nearest traffic light to cross, then go back up to the trail to continue. This wouldn't be so bad if the crossings weren't every quarter mile, and if the crosswalk buttons weren't placed in such bizarre, hard to reach places. I guess it's OK if you live here, but if you are visiting from outside the area, just pretend the trail starts in Upland. It's fantastic.

Good ride on Pacific Electric Trail

September, 2017 by pwbdan

Had a fun fast spin on the PE IE trail yesterday. Started at N. Cactus in Rialto and rode to Victoria Park Ln. and back. There is a short section in Fontana closed for construction between Emerald Ave. and Juniper Ave. but just go slightly over to the parallel road to the left (Seville Ave.) to get around it.

Escondido Creek Bike Path

Flat tires

August, 2017 by kuztomb

I was using the bike path everyday to commute to work but the past couple weeks I haven't been riding the bike path at all cause every time I do I get flat tire of two.... Literally every single time, so my question is "how often does the path get cleaned and I mean the actual riding path????

Santiago Creek Trail

Nice Trail!

We parked at the Main place Mall by the 24hr fitness, started the trail there and went all the way up to Collins, in the city of orange. Very cool trail.

Santiago Creek Trail

Nice Trail

August, 2017 by lrtshows

Started off at the end of Broadway at the main place Mall, all the way to Collins in Orange.

I probably only saw like 2-3 homeless people, other than that it's a very nice trail. I'll definitely do this again.

San Luis Rey River Trail

Take the trail from the ocean to Guajome Regional Park

April, 2017 by waterzoo

Heading east from the ocean, cross under College Blvd, continue on the more recent trail addition, arriving at Andrew Jackson St.
Turn left on this residential road, follow as it becomes Tyler St. Watch for the trail sign on the left.
Turn left, continue eastward on the trail, end at Santa Fe Ave. parking area at San Luis Rey Mission Expressway (Highway 76).
Turn left, staying on the dirt path on the north side of the highway, going east, then turn right to take an underpass to enter Guajome Regional Park.
There are dirt paths for walking, running, bicycling there.

San Luis Rey River Trail

What a fun ride!

April, 2017 by jrudin123

We rode this trail from Mance Buchanon Park all the way to the ocean. Parking was great, bathrooms at the park were ok but lacking toilet paper and paper towels in the women's restroom, and access to the trail was easy. The trail itself is nice, spacious, and the paving is great for biking. We loved that all of the street crossings were done with underpasses, and only had to stray from the trail at the very end and cross one street to get to the beach. Our total ride, including getting to the beach, was about 15 miles round trip, and it was a really nice ride the whole way through. I would highly recommend this trail to anyone

Santa Ana River Trail

A Great Trail

March, 2017 by znkfrnk

I'm 68 and I've been riding the trail for over 30 years. I taught my sons to ride on the trail as well. I ride with my son on Sunday from Orangewood to Moon Part in the spring and to the beach when it warms and I'm in better shape. With all the homeless on the trail, I've heard a lot of talk about it being intimidating at time. Hopefully they will move back into the river bed as the weather warms.
In the meantime anyone who would like to ride with us on Sunday is welcome to join. If anyone feels intimidated riding during the week, I try to get out on Wednesday morning.
