This trail now extends to Mountain View in Loma Linda...
You can now reach this trail in Redlands at the end of California Street on the Southern edge of the Santa Ana river. Somebody needs to stop assuming maps don't change. I haven't explored past the listed trail head on this map yet but I hope to make the trip to Corona soon.
Road it yesterday from beginning to end and back. Wonderful ride. Long uphill on way back but totally worth it
Took my kids on a bike ride in the San Bernardino / Colton/Grand Terrace area of the Santa Ana River trail. We encountered lots of homeless encampments, lots of trash everywhere, graffiti and were threatened by a homeless individual on the trail and had to hightail it out of there to get to safety. I put in a complaint that was never followed up on or addressed. There is definitely a need for more oversight and enforcement presence on the trail to make it feel safer.
San Diego has really lost its beautiful appeal now that it is allowing people to camp anywhere.
Unfortunately the city does a terrible job keeping the bike paths clear and safe. Some areas are not even passable.
There is no vehicle parking at either end of the trail. Other than this, this is a great ride.
Very popular trail that links up with the San Juan trail if you continue riding north thru Doheny State Park. Multi use with runners, bikers, rollerbladers, and folks that rent bikes or buggies from Doheny park.
First time here. It's quite a wide trail, full of walkers, bikers and some runners and dogs. There are no restrooms on this trail, so make sure you're empty before starting. I will come again and will use this trail to get me back into running again.
