We drove 1.5 hours e/w to ride this trail. Had a wonderful day,l! This rating is for our overall experience, not just the trail. Even though it was a sunny Saturday, it was not crowded. We drove over in a 25’ Class C motorhome, Bridge toll to island is $6 for cars and $11 for RVs. Found a free place to park around 18th. Later saw RV/Bus parking signs around 5th. Rode our e-bikes down to the state park, through downtown, past 2 lighthouses, stopped to sit on the beach. $2 per person for bikers entering state park. Sunset drinks followed by dinner at South Beach Grill which was great. Beach/restaurant not dog friendly so we left our pup in the RV, but the trail and overall experience were great and one of our faves so far!
Although it is very straight, the landscape on both sides is beautiful, so unlike what I’m used to in the upper Midwest. Everyone on the trail is super courteous. It’s perfect for a 10-12 mile workout. And we always see some amazing birds when crossing the Coral Creek.
This trail winds through 2 parks and you are either in the shaded woods or on the water, where you can see dolphins playing. Worth riding on to Philipe Park too
This trail is underwhelming compared to other trails in the area. But as a connector trail on a route, or as a commuter trail it is fine. Just not worth going g out of your way for
My wife and I have ridden this trail many times and have always enjoyed it. We usually park the car at the Publix parking lot (Alt 19 and Curlew road) adjacent to the trail and from there one can go North or South for quite some distance. We have ridden all but the last northern 4 miles of this trail (46+ miles) and really enjoy the beautiful, well maintained trail. There also multiple other trails off of this main trail. Our longest round trip ride has been 38 miles. I highly recommend this trail.
This trail is a very nice , well maintained asphalt trail. The trail provides users with different terrains and exposure to different types of wildlife. I highly recommend this trail.
The Oldsmar trail is a beautiful trail that takes you through many parks and provides many waterfront views. The trail is well manicured and gives the rider/hiker a variety of beautiful landscapes.
Fanatic trail, gorgeous views, and will recommend to everyone¿¿¿¿
Perhaps I didn't go the right direction on this Trail but I walked it and it was all concrete. There is almost no shade in this is back in August so I was miserable on the white pavement.
It’s a nice trail but needs some tlc! The views are nice and we had the trail all to ourselves.
We rode this trail from Maximo Park to the entrance to the fishing pier. Bikes are not allowed to the enter so we turned around. The trail could use some tlc as some of the shrubbery along the trail is growing up & over the trail. There’s also a lot of little debris on the trail from the highway such as pebbles, trash and just grit! It’s noisy but the views are worth it. Not much shade but a nice ride.
Had a really nice ride. Jack Willie’s Bar & Grill is an awesome place to eat!
