Aquatic Park Trail

good for a flat 2-mile walk

March, 2020 by kristy.sidlar

I wasn’t in the mood for hills today and thought this would fit the bill. It was the perfect effort and distance. I didn’t love being so close to the freeway but there was a lot of nature and beauty to distract me.

Calaveras River Bike Path

Only decent place to ride in Stockton

February, 2020 by ki6uaq

All the other trails are either 50+ year old asphalt that is literally full of potholes and eroded surface, or shared with 50+ mph traffic. This is the only remotely safe place to ride in Stockton until their new bike master plan is complete. That's not slated to be finished until 2035, so this is where you will be biking in Stockton for the next 15 years!

Corte Madera Creek Path

great for bikes and walking/running, uneven for inline skating

February, 2020 by recoveringsupermom

I started inline skating at Ross (very bumpy start in the parking lot makes for an uncomfortable start). It was smooth sailing, even over the first wooden bridge, until college of marin’s parking lot. The pavement hasn’t been kept up, so it’s pretty bumpy, enough for me to want to go around it next to the trailers until I reached the stree. After crossing it was ok until the second wooden bridge which only Has splintery guard rails. Then it is increasingly bumpy until about the middle school. I turned around there, only Got Half the workout i hoped for.

American River Bike Trail (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail)

Coming east from Discovery Park is not scenic

February, 2020 by p_massam

Review of the 1st 4 miles coming east from Discovery Park. All four of us started our from Discovery Park and headed east along the trail. The trail itself is very easy and the surface is very smooth. 99% of the faster cyclists were polite and gave us adequate warning of their presence. Alas the first few miles are not very scenic. A lot of litter on the sides of the trail and many tents. Not an area we'd care to cycle in again as a family at the current time.

Aquatic Park Trail

beautiful but sections need repaved

January, 2020 by chad.selph

Huge sections of the asphalt are completely broken down, would be a great trail if they fixed this!

Dry Creek Parkway

Funtime with the family!

January, 2020 by bralio

I would recommended it! Family friendly and parks along the way. Bring the dog the loved ones and enjoy the day!

Lands End Trail

Easy walk with stunning views of the GG bridge and the entrance to SF Bay. I’ve been visiting SF all my life; why I never heard about this walk until a child told me of it is a total mystery.

Pacheco Hill Path

Critical commute path but not for recreation

September, 2019 by davidfiol

This is for commuters, not appropriate for a family ride.

Santa Rosa Creek Trail

Unexpected treasure

Well kept wild nature

Two Rivers Trail

Not much for recreation

September, 2019 by tommyonbike

Trail surface is good, but most of trail is amid homeless encampments with accompanying refuse. Most folk were friendly, but definitely not a scenic route. As previous reviewer stated, east end is very busy road with no bike lane or shoulder. Not for the faint of heart!

Sir Francis Drake Bikeway (Cross Marin Trail)

Nice walking trail

August, 2019 by cpujock

We walked the section between shafter bridge and Samuel P Tayler campground. There was plenty of parking when we pulled in around 10am but there were several cars waiting when we got back around noon. The trail to the campground is gravel and flat. Nice simple path for easy biking. I wouldn’t do it with a road bike but a city bike or something with larger tires would be fine. Walking was also nice. The other nice feature are the restrooms near the campground.
