We parked at Thornby Park, Restrooms and water. There were several parking areas also nearby and all marked nicely. We headed east and weren't sure how far the trail went. Some maps I looked at showed all the way to Titusville. It actually ends 8 miles. Five miles in there is a great diner (recommended by another reviewer), Osteen's Diner is a great stop to take a break and grab a bite to eat. This is a beautiful 8 mile, tree shaded trail with lots to see. Head west and you're on the Spring to Spring trail for an additional 8 miles. We'll possibly do that trail another day.
Lake Monroe is around the corner from where we parked, beautiful view.

This trail was a great start to our vacation as it is flat and about 22 miles long. We enjoyed the whole thing which has about 750 ft. of elevation change. Best part is Winter Garden which is a beautiful town with a couple of fantastic bike shops and lots of places to eat. It is about 6 miles in from the western end of the trail. Also loved the West Orange Bikes and Rentals as they set us up with great bikes for the week.
Just a caution that much of this trail goes, or will go, thru areas popular with hunters, in season.
Rode from Titusville to Edgewater, 33 miles of bicycle trail. The only impediment is a bridge under construction along Maytown Rd and it looks close to completion.
This is an interesting trail. Not urban yet not as scenic as I thought it would be. I parked by the Seminole County public library and rode my bike on the sidewalks and streets to the S Triplet Lake Drive start of the dedicated off road trail. It goes along a golf course and also what looks like a preserve area, but it was not as scenic as I thought it could be.
The trail runs in modest neighborhoods that were built in the 60 and 70's. And past a school. It is a well marked trail and the signs were so good I was able to follow the suggested route from one trail to the other without even having to look at a map. The connector is on local roads but on a Sunday late morning in the spring there were no cars at all.
Wirz Park trailhead is very well done and a nice park with ball fields and a loop around a wetland area. Surprisingly empty on a late Sunday morning in February.
I see in the activities it lists inline skating, but the numerous wood bridges would be a rough ride on skates.
The Wirz park part of the trail ends on Semoran Blvd and is a busy noisy road. You can cross Semoran and take Wilshire drive to pick up another trail.
Overall I'm glad I did the trail once, great signage and Casselberry is really putting forth a lot of effort on the trails, but the lack of views and area of town will keep me from returning most likely.
Now at 18 miles in length this path is beautiful and gets better as you travel north. The last 9 miles, north of Aurantia Rd does not have any intersections.
We rode six trails in the area last week this one was special because 30 years ago we lived here before the trail. Of course the growth in the area was a shock, but riding the WOT was exciting because of what it has done to the areas it passes through, The trail is well marked, smooth, scenery varies from one community to the next. The stations are spaced nicely and are clean. The ride in Winter Garden has a great bike shop that was a help to us, Wheel Works. Several nice restaurants right on the trail we could only do one. But mostly coming back do see what a great trail it is made the trip worthwhile. We will go back.
My wife and I rode the trail round trip on January 20, 2018. We started at the fashion Square Mall. Construction (no doubt temporary) has destroyed the trail start and parking lot near the post office. We had to ride around the block and intercept the trail where it intersects Maguire. No big deal, but an annoyance nonetheless. The only worthwhile aspect of the next segment of the trail was the the fact that you could connect to a very nice trail that runs around Lake Baldwin and passes the community's downtown area as you circle the lake. The rest of the trail itself up to the big bridge overpass is quite forgettable. From the big overpass to the end of the trail is not even worth riding. Near the end of the trail there is an overlook at Perch Lake. The overlook was populated with a bunch of seedy looking people, although they seemed not to pay any attention to us on bikes. This trail gets one star for just there actually being a trail there and the other star for the access to the Lake Baldwin trail.
An earlier review suggest that the Winter Garden portion of the trail prevented 5 stars. Sad, as the small town has an excellent historic museum, interesting train museum, excellent and tasty restaurants. Slow down, stop and smell the roses. Biking is not only an adventure, it is meant to be enjoyed as well.
Yesterday, December 4th, 2017, I investigated the progress on this extensive forked trail, which may be totally finished as early as next year. East from Enterprise, it now ends at Maytown and Guise Roads east of Osteen. The gap between there and Gobbler's Lodge Road/Maytown Road is funded for construction in 2018. From Gobbler's Lodge east to Lake Harney Road along Maytown, construction is just starting. From Lake Harney Road clear up to the trailhead and parking in Edgewater (near Cow Lick and Route 442), construction is advancing, with many miles already asphalt. The other fork, going southeast into Titusville, I will check on soon.
